this is fun.

That's because you grew up in a diversified musical family like I did which exposed you to all types of music instead of just one.

One old song that isn't that well known but a very pretty old tune is The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Buy For Me The Rain".

Yeah, I don't know that one.

The "deep tracks" by all of these artists of yesteryear, why, that's a whole different ball o' wax...

This thread is liable to get very long indeed!

I love this thread.

This sort of music needs more love, and at last it finally is!

My stepfather exposed me to a lot of things I'd never heard, at a pretty early age...but then also, I started working as a disc jockey when I was 16...and I spent the first six years of my twenties working in record shops.

I've always just been somewhat of a student of music, I guess.

Find it on the internet. Years ago when we had access to high speed I downloaded it. I still have it saved in one of my 50 folders (that are a maze once you open one).

Simon and Garfunkel- Hazy Shade of Winter

"Look around

Leaves are brown

And the sky

Is a hazy shade of winter"...

My favourite part of that song is when they yell (in harmony), "It's the springtime of my life!"

And I remember when that used to be true, for me.
