rocket ignites
Hotwheels back in the day for me. Had the race tracks and the whole nine yards. Good times...I got a Hotwheels track for my 5th birthday...and every year I'd get an open car on the top of my cake. Simpler times back then, but that made me the happiest kid.
That One Guy
Matchbox. You get baller recreations of classics like these: http://www.yotatech.com/attachments/f123/85120d1295113510-1st-gen-4runner-matchbox-car-mini-bodie_1_sm.jpg
Tom Sawyer
http://www.matchbox-...odge/dodge.html Uhm, HW was/is awesome. FUNNY CARS!! Yeah!!!!! MB was classic, lots of stock models, but they were tamer. I had a lot of both. I bought my son them all them time when he was little out of impulse. http://i58.tinypic.com/2hojscp.jpg Edited August 6, 2015 by Tom Sawyer

treeduck
You know that's a tough question, very tough. It might be the toughest question EVER on here. I loved them both. I suppose with a gun to my head I might finally say Matchbox grudgingly, those were cool!

Freddy Lee
Hotwheels FTW bro. I had a collection when I was like 6-10 of like a few hundred cars. And I kept em in like giant Tupperwares. :P
x1yyz
Matchbox cars had better wheels. The wheel on Hotwheels got all wonky quickly.
JohnnyBlaze
Matchbox cars had better wheels. The wheel on Hotwheels got all wonky quickly. That's pretty much true. Wheels seemed bouncier and the cars rolled better. BUT I think Hot Wheels had the cooler designs and more of them
ILSnwdog
Back when I was a kid, Matchbox was much better than Hotwheels. Some Matchboxes had opening doors and hoods. The paint didn't chip as easily.

That white Pantera was the exact same one (or almost identical) my bro had in the late 70s. It was his favorite. And he was a greedy bastard playing with it too. That Pantera was so special to him that I'm going to show him this picture. What a flashback you just gave me!
Janie
I can't... why are we even... this is not conversation worthy. troutman
I woke up yesterday, To get ready for work. Went in to the kitchen and on the table were two new Hot Wheels. They are about six inches long. I was thinking, these are not the type I grew up with. :codger:

The Analog Grownup
If I recall correctly I grew up with Matchbox cars. My brother and I would sculpt elaborate buildings and roads in wet sand and make car chases. Amazing times :sigh: Edited August 8, 2015 by The Analog Grownup
