It ended up looking like a new car after I shined/restored it with some good stuff.

It had hit six months (about 2500 miles). Got that oil HOT right before I dropped the plug. Quite a bit of metal or rusty shavings came out this time. That's not a good sign to see that stuff in the oil! I would suggest you get some "Lucas" oil stabilizer and add next oil change or add if oil gets low. It will help preserve what's left. Your vehicle hunt may have to be accelerated but knowing you situation (bieng in school & all) I would suggest you take it real easy on the ole 4-Bummer and don't dog her outhttp://lucasoil.com/testimonials?id=

Let it sit at 3000rpm for a minute with the catch pan ready to go, then turned her off, went straight under and took the drain bolt off. I always baby it as far as hard driving is concerned. This engine never sees over 4000rpm, and no more than 3500rpm on any kind of consistent basis. I'll go with some magic potion for the oil sometime soon. And it does leak and burn slightly, so in a couple weeks there'll be room to add some Lucas

I am one of those hat swears by the stuff I even add a little to my new cars just to keep a nice oil cover on the upper end. The stuff is amazing ;)
