TexMike
I was just thinking that watching the L.A. Show on periscope is going to be quite bittersweet knowing we could be seeing possibly the band's final live gig as it happens. :( Edited June 9, 2015 by TexMike

There were a few noticeable mistakes, but they were still good overall. There was a slight technical glitch with the samples at the beginning of Clockwork Angels. Overall a pretty good show, however. RUSHandOSU
I noticed two technical glitches one on the CA samples and the trigger for that thunder type sound at the end of Grand finale didnt start until geddy addressed the crowd. Other than that i noticed neil messed up on presentation but enough with that stuff.. it was indeed a fantastic show I loved it. Geddy sounded great besides on OLV he sounded a little rough but He nailed pretty much damn near everything else..Alex seemed to be having a good time as well lots of smiles and laughs from him. And he played great.
goose
Small crowd tonight. I was once again a slave to Little League. My son's team lost, but there was some comedy. Our starting pitcher was throwing like an ace and mowed down 4 of the the first 5 batters. Since this was the playoffs, and we were one game from the championship, our manager decided to save this guy for the championship game, which we only get to play if we win this game. Good decision? (hint: This is a logic test) So...the reliever comes in and walks eight batters, beans another, combined with five booted infield grounders. The 4th inning ends with us down 11-2. Mercy rule after 4 inning is 10. One run shy. There's a 1:45 time limit, but we are six minutes shy of it. So we go to the 5th. A series of relief pitchers for us proceeds to give up eleven more runs on walks and hit batsmen. It takes an hour just to play the top of the 5th inning, but we finally get the third out. By rule we have to bat, and I jokingly say "88 balls and we're in business". On cue, the opposing reliever walks our first batter on four straight balls. "Only 84 more...", I say. 2nd batter walked on four straight, as is the 3rd. We walk in five runs before the Ump gets some sense and severely enlarges the strike zone. This leads to a couple of our guys striking out on bad calls, which of course sets off our coach. The final out is on a bad call strike out and out coach comes storming over to me, saying, "Tough to beat a team that has ten guys on the field"...and he meant it. If only the ump was more fair, we'd've had a shot. :D My son walks over and I ask him, "You ever had a Big Mac?" He says, "No, dad." I say, "Let's go..." http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg293/goose_trf/Todd.BigMac_zpsgx4n9qbi.jpeg Edited June 9, 2015 by goose

goose
Great story man!I hope no one gets on the kid who blew the game open. Sounded like you guys were getting squeezed.Yeah...our coach had been badgering this particular ump all season, so I kind of saw it coming. I was surprised when he pulled our first pitcher that was doing so well. You don't move on if you don't win.

If it made sense to pull the pitcher if he was strting to flag, but maybe with only a 2 run lead you let him go one more. are there rules for running the pitcher out there without enough rest time? Tough break though, sometimes winners are defined by how well they take losing, but it is tough when you are only 11. Still it teaches you something. There is that saying, sports don't build character, they reveal it. Also good job on your boy getting to make a play at home not once but twice(not that it didn't absolutely suck). Not many kids are willing to take that risk. I remember being called out at 3rd once. I was pretty mad, but what are you going to do?

There was a slight technical glitch with the samples at the beginning of Clockwork Angels. Overall a pretty good show, however. I agree with this- except that I'd say, flubs aside, it was a GREAT show. (But I'm a bit biased). It was just killer. I have a lot of emotions about it...so glad to have been a part of it, though. And as far as those flubs are concerned- I say it's nice to see that they're merely human. They're still the best live rock band, anywhere.

These guys are such pros and give it all every night, and believe me, I am no fan boy like a lot of guys here who have altars in their homes. But after seeing hundreds of artists do hundreds of shows in my life, there is no comparing how good these guys are. They are in an elite group with very few bands who take this stuff seriously, not like when I saw Van Halen years back and Dave and Eddie were so drunk they could barely stand and Davetalked his way through the songs.Like Sammy or not, HE gave you everything in a show because he's a pro, not an assclown. But even still, I saw him on his VOA tour years ago and his wireless mic and guitar kept having issues. Shit just happens.

Sammy is coming to Tahoe, which is what brought him to mind. He's a great entertainer...very professional.
