Well, since this thread reads like all the others about CA, I'll chime in with my own usual post.

BU2B2 could have been a masterpiece song had they bothered to extend it. In the old days, they would have. As it is, it was a waste of a potential masterpiece as well as possibly the best song Rush ever did.

CA is a very good album, if you enjoy it the way it should.

I do love the strings.

I agree, have always wished for more from this one. As it is, it feels like a tantalising extract, a snippet.

I may have to get this one on vinyl one day. I will admit that Vapor Trails "sounds" better on vinyl. Still not a big fan but at least its listenable...

Still quite the blanket statement in my view. A statement I would never make but whatever. Carry on folks...

I don't know. He may have competition. During the CA tour, a member here proclaimed himself Rush's No. 1 fan.

Don't recall who that was. Well from what we have observed with this thread he/she was mistaken it seems... ;)

You really should try that, it's very warm with a whole lotta dynamic.

It's a different sonic experience.

I'm listening to R40 Clockwork material as I read through this thread. I laugh at the detractors, CA is no Permanent Waves but a hard rocking serious break from the Synth Era. BU2B in either version does nothing for me though.

Love all of the post-millenium output. Well, except for Feedback. I don't hate it. I just don't consider it to be an album.

It's the '90's output I have trouble with. And it must be noted that I consider HYF and Presto honorary '90's titles.

I don't mind being laughed at. "With" would be better but I will take what I can get... ;)
