Mr Rush Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Came across this this morning :( :( Folks enjoy these shows and say your goodbyes I don't think we will see them again for any shows. :( http://ultimateclass...eson-arthritis/
bill1971 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Sadder still to watch it die... The ...'s were my attempt to be dramatic.
Lorraine Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 This article is a compilation of the other interviews recently posted here. I like what Geddy says here: “If I was going out onstage and I couldn’t play the way I want to, or the way I’ve played in the past, there’s no way I’d want to do it. I wouldn’t want to go out there and be a shadow of my former self.” Very wise words. 4
gudbuytjane Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 ! F*^k Y@+, Arthritis!!! :( Agreed. As a sufferer myself, I can say I truly feel for him. :( 5
Del_Duio Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Maybe now all the people pointing out every wrong note he plays lately will cut him some f***ing slack. 8
ctbadger Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Yep. Getting old sucks. Beats the alternative though. 1
Earthshine_sf Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Shit. I guess this explains why he doesn't seem to be smiling much.
bluefox4000 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 If anyone still doesn't think this is it based on comments from Al himself and various articles......boy are you in for some soul crushing disappointment. Mick 1
Earthshine_sf Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Now I'm concerned about their ability to just make it to August 1st.
Merely Space Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 He definitely seemed less mobile in the two shows I saw. Guess that's the arthritis in the feet. I remember in long ago tours, he'd be running around like a mad man. Now he rarely leaves "his" side of the stage.
Bard Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Sigh. Seriously, anyone's who still in denial really ought to take the evidence at hand to heart. After the Forum show, it's done. And good for the boys even getting the fire up to do this one last small tour for the fans. They didn't have to. Still, I do think the evidence also suggests that Geddy will somehow find a way to produce some new music in a solo capacity. 2

Still, I do think the evidence also suggests that Geddy will somehow find a way to produce some new music in a solo capacity. Ged's the only one who appears willing to continue after Rush if for a little while anyway. Mick Edited May 22, 2015 by bluefox4000 1
Lorraine Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Shit. I guess this explains why he doesn't seem to be smiling much. It's not like him to not smile. I think he is really concentrating hard when he plays. 1
bluefox4000 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I'm getting to the point of seeing alex on this tour from vids and just saying ya know what......Stop al........ya don't need too. i mean it too. Mick 3
Narps Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 ! F*^k Y@+, Arthritis!!! :(Those of us who know really know. Not sure if you are a member of the "have Arthur" club or not but as I have posted before this Psoriatic sh*t sadly doesn't play... :( 1
Lorraine Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Yep. Getting old sucks. Yes, it does.X 3... I've been wondering if someone could get arthritis in the feet/toes because I think I'm getting it. Now I know you can. So that's that.
satchmothesnowdog Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Shit. I guess this explains why he doesn't seem to be smiling much. It's not like him to not smile. I think he is really concentrating hard when he plays.seems we were on the cutting edge of this discussion almost two weeks ago :) 1
EagleMoon Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 It is sad. I just hope he'll be okay for the rest of the tour. 2
