blueschica Posted May 21, 2015 Share Posted May 21, 2015 Being that I was born and raised and lived over three decades in New Jersey, and I was there when Bruce's star appeared on the horizon and started rising, I can tell you that his great appeal was that he was supposed to be "one of us" and, as someone already said, this down to earth blue collar Budweiser guzzling pool playing regular Joe. And I suppose he was for a time. Yeah, I remember seeing Jimmy Buffett back in the day before "Margaritaville" hit and before Parrotheads were a thing and thinking that he was kind of a normal, beer loving guy. I had bought his 1st 4.......and being the compulsive music freak i am. bought up through Magic. i really enjoy his first 4. he starts losing me at the river. a few points for Tunnel of Love. Or it's a great reason to take up skeet shooting. Just greatest hits and a bunch of stuff off Wrecking Ball. None of it has won me over yet. I'm willing to give him another shot through a proper format I went digging into my inherited vinyl collection and I found Live 1975-85.
