bluefox4000
I must confess, he has never been quite up there with my very favourites, but he is a tremendous artist and I find everything he does to be fascinating, whether I like it or not! He Scared the crap outta me with that Earth Day song. RECYCLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok i will just don't hurt me, lol Mick
Union 5-3992
My personal favorite right now is his most recent, Z2: Sky Blue. Which was supposed to be a rushed, half assed attempt at an album, yet somehow turned into one of the best things he's ever written.
Union 5-3992
On Twitter, Devin's been talking about his new album, Transcience I think it's called. He says it'll likely be a double album because he's written so much for it

Digital Dad
I think my little love affair with DT is past that initial phase of excitement. Played Octavarium, and I am not so keen on a few songs. The Root Of All EvilThese WallsSacrificed SonsOctavarium The rest? Good. Not great. It is interesting now I am able to listen to them with more experienced ears! The U2 and Muse songs have lost their edge for me. The album is now an 8/10. The four songs I highlighted are genuine classics. Yes. I Will put all those songs Up there with all of SC.

Its all going to come down to whether or not I like his vocals. Edited February 6, 2016 by Digital Dad

Segue Myles
Townsend is full of variety, but aside from Terria, I rarely find him ULTRA SPECIAL aside from being very enjoyable. Fascinating artist, but none of his stuff comes close to my top favourite albums ever.
Segue Myles
Lacuna Coil are nearly done on Delirium. Alter Bridge are progressing rapidly on AB5... 2016 shows me some promise. I expect nothing more than a fun Bon Jovi album!

bluefox4000
I didn't do this for The Astonishing.........Cause friggin' 2 plus Hours. but will be writing Track by Track my thoughts on the new Elton Album. first listen BTW. Wonderful Crazy night. 1. Wonderful Crazy Night. Wow. Fun Little boogie number Catchy care free. Something i hadn't heard from Elton in years. Fun piano playing too. Harken's a little back to A blue moves Era up-beat track. Mick
bluefox4000
2. In the Name of You. Down and blue-sy already. GREAT guitar licks. Catchy Chorus. Wow this also has a Great drum sound. I'm smiling already. this is already better then the Heavy handed Diving Board Released in 2013. And it features his touring band in studio. Another great Track Mick
Segue Myles
Yay its been AGES since a track by track!
bluefox4000
3. Claw Hammer. Country like opening with some middle Eastern keyboard licks. A will say the lyrics aren't bernie's strongest. But elton's really going for less heavy handed. another Chatchy chorus. and i noticed there are more guitar solos on this record then thre have been in a while. bluefox4000
4. Blue Wonderful. A ballad that Elton's really great at. but this one isn't overly Dramatic. Just hold hands with your partner and sway, lol. Country ballad Really. I can't say a bad word yet. WAY better then the last record already. bluefox4000
5. I've got 2 Wings WAY reminiscent of Captain Fantastic (GREAT album Segue find it today.) I will say this is the most laid back i've heard Elton Since 2008's Captain and the Kid. Nothing complected here. A nice country Ditty. bluefox4000
6. a Good Heart. Love the piano guitar intro. It's your standard elton ballad. but LOVE the sax/brass on this track This album has country undertones all over. A kind of like that hear. I say this is the tightest i've heard the music in a bit. bluefox4000
7. Looking Up. OK. A rock shuffle. This really returns to 70's album. Sure his voice is shot. But the spirit of it is Classic Elton. I think Honky Chateau on this track. Again. I love how prominant the guitar is. Winner again. I love how on this album Nothing is complicated. bluefox4000
8. Guilty Pleasure. This reminds me now of Something from Made In England (great album again Segue( Everything here is classic album. it's all straight forward so i can't critique much. but this is the most refreshed i've heard Elton in Years. nice little piano interlude in the end.
