J2112YYZ
Bon Jovi was actually one of my favorite bands when I was a kid. But lost interest after the Young Guns 2 soundtrack. I just outgrew them once I hit my teenage years and started discovering other bands, like Rush. Edited June 22, 2016 by J2112YYZ

Segue Myles
Gonna rank Bon Jovi albums: 1. These Days (10/10)2. Keep The Faith (9/10)3. New Jersey (9/10)4. Slippery When Wet (9/10)5. Bon Jovi (9/10)6. 7800° Fahrenheit (9/10)7. What About Now (8/10)8. Crush (9/10- but What About Now has higher highs)9. Lost Highway (7/10)10. Have A Nice Day (7/10)11. Bounce (7/10)12. Burning Bridges (7/10)13. The Circle (4/10) I'd give Blaze Of Glory 9/10 and Destination Anywhere a very generous 1/10. That latter album is junk. Segue Myles
Every album post-Crush is growing on me more and more. I actually really enjoy every Bon Jovi album and even The Circle is showing signs of going up in my ratings!

Sometimes I really love it and then I come back to it and think it's really not all that... it's for sure one of the least memorable. i don't think i could hum any song on it. On the other hand, sometimes I absolutely adore Crush for being such a fun and upbeat album. But other times it really gets on my nerves. But when I love it I love it! As for Burning Bridges, considering the reason why it was released and where the songs came from, I think it's much stronger than it could have been. Not a great album but I can tell they tried to make it worthwhile for fans as well as being the final release on a label they hated. Whatever comes next I am bound to like it. Whether I love it is another story...I agree I miss Sambora. If they release a great album I doubt it will change the fact something is missing live. But yeah, Burning Bridges was more a contractual obligation than a labour of love. But it succeeded for me. Some great songs and some meh moments.

Mick THEN WHY ARE SO SO DOWN ON THOSE EARLY RECORDS, HHHHMMMMMM? Just kidding. They are a product of their time. And also great albums with way more flavour than people give them credit for. I don't know why some are so down on Bon Jovi but pro-Cheap Trick or Aerosmith. To me they are all simplistic good time rock n roll!

Expect number 2. that's quite bland. and New Jersey is my number 4 record. I just like 2000-on Jovi a lot more........if i had to choose one bunch of albums. it would be Crush on. And i'd steal New Jersey. lol Mick

What they have in common with Bon Jovi is the 1980s commercialism road they followed. Where's the hairspray?!?!

And putting a bands music down because of their image is something vapid pop fans do.
