Not sure what game it was,

But did any one see Tom Brady throw out the first pitch? What is it with people, especially athletes? Seems like a lot of them can't throw worth a sh**! I know for a fact I could go out there and reach home plate and make a decent pitch. :D

Red Sox - Nationals. It should have been Malcolm Butler.

The bad throw was likely the result of the inability to deflate the ball prior to the ceremony. :syrinx:

Should have been Pete Carroll. Just 15 years earlier it seemed almost impossible that he'd win a Super Bowl for the Patriots.

Pitcher for the Indians got hit by a line drive to the head.

Not good.

Ouch. How's he doing?

Carrasco was helped to his feet by two Indians trainers before walking slowly to the cart holding the left side of his face. As he was driven off, he was given a warm ovation by Cleveland fans following the scary moment.

The Indians said Carrasco is not showing any signs or symptoms of a concussion or head injury. He was taken to Lutheran Hospital for evaluation.

Amazing. He took it in the face. :scared:

Just saw it,

That was nasty. I think his hand/arm just got enough of it to deflect the full impact.

After seeing it, that could have been alot worse

A's, at 4-4, are leading the AL West. AL west teams just trading games...

First place baby. Only one thing to do now. Win the whole damn thing!!

5-5. :dweez:

5-5.... .500.... Exercise in mediocrity.... Pretty sure this belongs in my beloved Chiefs thread.

Bradley for the 'Stros pitched six amazing innings tonight against the Giants. SF is making a comeback after being down 1-4 most of the game.

ETA: Bottom of 9th, Giants have tied it at 4-4 with 2 outs and runners at 2nd and 3rd.

Goes to extra innings...where the Astros go up 5-4 in the top of the 10th. Giants load the bases in the bottom and tie it 5-5.

Bases still loaded with 2 down... :scared: Can Crawford get it done for the Giants?

Sorry...went to bed!

Watched this morning and the Giants gave up two in the 12th. The Astros reliever had a pitching cadence that I loved. Quick pitch, almost...certainly by today's snail-paced standards.

That brings me to this. Last night my son had a little league game. In two hours we got through four innings. The opposing team scored 8 runs on no hits. How? By shrinking the strike zone, walking, and stealing bases on a nine-year-old catcher. They even stole home.
