treeduck Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I'd say Circumstances, this is a song where Geddy is singing the riff in the chorus, or Alex is playing the vocal melody...whichever...and Ozzy was doing this a lot with songs like Iron Man and Electric Funeral. And it's one of the heavier RUSh songs with a dark moody vibe! 3
YYZumbi Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Rush songs are most like Rush songs, nothing else! 2
Relayer2112 Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I would say "Working Man" simply because of the simple riff in the song and the lack of thought provoking lyrics. Don't get me wrong, I like Black Sabbath, but lyrically, they leave a little bit to be desired. 2

Stormtron Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Working Man, but I'll throw Under the Shadow from The Necromancer out there too. 4
treeduck Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Working Man, but I'll throw Under the Shadow from The Necromancer out there too. They're metal! :haz: :haz: :haz: 2
The Analog Cub Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Superconduc- I mean... The Necromancer 2
Entre_Perpetuo Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Yeah, I think Working Man probably wins it. As for modern Black Sabbath, maybe BU2B?
MMCXII Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Earthshine comes to mind. I could picture picture Dio-Sabbath doing it Ozzy-Sabbath.. Necromancer Anyone know if Sabbath ever did a version of any of the feedback songs? Edited January 5, 2015 by MMCXII
treeduck Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Another one I forgot about, The Main Monkey Business, parts of that have Sabbathesque riffs. 1
The Analog Grownup Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I'd say Witch Hunt. Had Sabbath made it they would have called it Bitch Hunt.

MMCXII Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Wow cool pics! Considering the Starman logo, Page and Sabbath.. I almost expect to see a pentastar behind these guys lol
greyfriar Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'd like to say I Think I'm Going Bald or Something For Nothing. Both hard'n'heavy and I could really imagine how it would've sounded if Sabbath had played them back then. Hey ducky you should be more careful with posting these pics. A lot of greedy lawyers are around nowadays in forums, fishing for people who post copyrighted stuff. Sad but true. 1
Empty Mindless Spectre Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 All good choices so far, but I think Anthem would probably top my list. 1
greyfriar Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 How about Before and After?Great choice, but the Zep influence is too obvious for me in this one.
bathory Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Rush songs are most like Rush songs, nothing else! and led zeppelin songs, and yes songs, and genesis songs, and police songs, and... 2
treeduck Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Here Again is definitely Sabbath! Listen to that riff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SojuN3Dg9Yc 2
bathory Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 working man, garden road, parts of the necromancer, parts of by-tor
greyfriar Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Rush songs are most like Rush songs, nothing else! and led zeppelin songs, and yes songs, and genesis songs, and police songs, and...Rush songs...bugger.
