Lorraine
I believe he was a total arsehole. I thought Ginger Baker was the arsehole... Anyway, this comes as a shock. Indeed one of the greatest rock bassists of all time. RIP Jack Bruce I'm pretty sure that it was Bruce that Geddy Lee was referring to when he said something about meeting your heroes can be disappointing.I remember that. Geddy said he once met one of his heroes and he was drunk.
bathory
they all definitely seemed like bitter pricks and drama queens (bruce especially has been butthurt over led zeppelin's popularity and superiority for the past 45 years, it seems like), but that doesn't really matter. RIP I'm surprised the bigger asshole, ginger baker, has outlived one of the other guys!
apetersvt
Bruce was certainly one of Geddy's main influences in the early years. So, Jack helped mold the music that we all love. Gonna share Jack's contribution to Gov't Mule's Deep End sessions: https://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DDd8OCQEWTPg&h=-AQHOSY3Z
RushCanuck
I admired him as a musician and singer in Cream, one of the great 60's bands. This is sad news indeed. Like Lorraine, I feel old. RIP Jack.

The Analog Cub
There goes another one. If it wasn't for Bruce, we wouldn't have Geddy's monster bass playing, which means we wouldn't have Rush. It's also not unlikely that the entire music industry would be very different without his influence. RIP
ILSnwdog
I bought Live Cream Vol II in high school and listened to it a lot. Just listened to it in my car a few weeks back. RIP Jack Damn...I love that song. RIP Jack.

Such a great vocal, and a great performance. It's just a great tune. I'd give you more 'likes' for this one, if I could.
Nate2112
Wow. I'm a huge Cream fan. This sucks balls. Even though him and GBaker were assholes, you gotta respect 'em. Wonder how Gbakes is doing in South Africa with his 29 year old girlfriend from Zimbabwe?
