Ok, this one is really uhm...

'Watch me choose my own erection' instead of 'Watch me choose my own direction'

From "The Stars Look Down"

Do you also hear "Pale facsimile. Like what others see, when they look at my erection" during Earthshine as well? :P

OMG. I swear, I've been a Rush fan for like 7 years, and I guess I didn't ever stop to think about it, but...

Driven. At around 2:16.

"Driven out -- On the pigment of the witch"

...which doesn't make much sense, but I thought it was this for ever until now!

2112 :Temples Of Syrinx

Same as LedRush, I hear "Pictures that you plug into your eyes"

also in Temples, "Our great computers fill our hallowed halls" I always hear as

"Our great computers built our hallowed halls".

Discovery:

"The priests praise my name on this night"

heard as

"The frieze frames my name on this night"

Fly By Night:

"Quiet and pensive, my thoughts apprehensive"

heard as

"Quiet and pensive, my balls apprehensive"

I listened to Roll the Bones today and definitely heard

"I f***ing only reach that diamond side" on Face Up, and

"You can't scare Bieber" on Bet Your Life...

Out of the Cradle:

Real lyrics: "Maybe time is a bird in flight, endlessly rocking"

What I hear: "Maybe time is a blimp fight, endlessly rocking"

From Red Tide: "The party is disrupted by an uninvited guest"

I always hear it as: "The body is disrupted by an uninvited guest"

Personally, I think my version is way cooler, Neil really screwed up with that one.

Not sure what this one is actually supposed to be but this is what I hear.

In the dog days

People look to Sirius

Dogs cry for the moon

But these connections are mysterious

I have always loved the play on words here. (People look too serious). Neil at his best!

The screaming part of Freewill: Each of us, a cell of awareness. In fact I think I'll leave. <some gibberish> with one song and dance. An unfortunateness far too free.

I know the right lyrics, but I can never actually hear them.

This is one of Neil's best verses ever!

Each of us. a cell of awareness

Imperfect, and incomplete

Genetic blends, with uncertain ends

On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet

Still gives me goosebumps after all these years! Freewill isn't really one of my top songs, but that verse in particular is just… well…. searching for words…. :notworthy:

"Well I get up at seven, yeah

And I go to work at night."

You lazy bastid! Are they referring to you as the Working Man ironically?

I thought he said "I lock it up at seven, yeah and I go to work at night"

Meaning he had the night shift as a security guard or night watchman or something like that?
