treeduck
IMO Eric Clapton is indeed a great player but an average composer, so part of his legend should be revisited. But The Edge is something unexpicable to me: the guy can't play a solo! I'm sorry my friend. I only loved Clapton when he was on heroin. I call him ERIC CRAPTON. He is a snooze fest. I like the Edge but yeah he couldn't play a solo if it fell out of his Irish Arse! SCOTT GORHAM!!!!!!!! GARY MOORE!!!!!!!!! RORY GALLAGHER! FUKK THE DULL EDGE! LOLThis is The Edge in a nutshell:

Fridge
Springsteen Wrong..he may not have had the chops of some of the more technical guitarists, but he was a songwriter par excellence, and IMO the last great rock star in living memory. ReRushed
I may be on thin ice here, but I'm going to say Eddie Van Halen. Shredding isn't everything! agreedDear Lord, the man does not just "shred." Listen to the riffs, the arrangements, the harmonics, the freakin' tone. The man is a master rhythm guitarist. And he's very melodic. He's a master.

treeduck
Overrated... I will say, Ace FrehleyThe thing about Frehley is a lot of people think he's dumb and he can't even read music or something but he's actually very knowledgeable. A enormous amount of people now judge KISS as talentless clowns who just got by on the gimmick of costumes and masks. So in that light he's actually underrated.
