goose
I suppose you'd have to say Mr. Peart does. Really? Outside of a couple of isolated examples like say Closer to the Heart and The Sphere from Hemispheres, and maybe a couple of others, I really don't see that. I'd say a fair amount of Snakes and Arrows qualifies.VT as well. And Prime Mover from HYF, of course. Oh, the Garden. laughedatbytime
I second the Peart nomination...Wish Them Well and the Garden are two that haven't been mentioned that qualify. Ed Kowalczyk from Live has to be up there as well.
goose
Paul Simon. Someone should start a Paul Simon thread. My guess is it would get a lot of action.

laughedatbytime
Oooh. I know. David Coverdale. Just kidding. I meant Sammy Hagar. No, you meant Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Oh, wait, that is spiritual.
Lorraine
The best spiritual lyrics ever in rock music for me come from The Moody Blues and Yes, so that would be Jon Anderson, Justin Hayward and some other Moody Blues members...The Moody Blues without a doubt. The first seven albums they did are unbeatable and they have never done as well since then. Once Mike Pinder and Tony Clarke hit the road, that was it for them. AnalyticalEngine
Jon Anderson's lyrics tend to by very spiritual, just listen to "And You and I" or "Awaken"
Lorraine
Jon Anderson's lyrics tend to by very spiritual, just listen to "And You and I" or "Awaken" I agree. Close to the Edge is a phenomenal album. In the dark ages, back when it first came out, all we had was our stereos and our head phones. That was one album to listen to with those head phones on. I have to get that CD one day soon.
