Posted February 4, 2013 Share Posted February 4, 2013 It's there, at the core of every true metal band.It's the sum of all hatred, frustration, of all the s*it in life.More than the loud guitars, the wild drums, the thundering bass, it's what defines the two sacred pillars of metal: "we are angry" and "F-you".It's got its roots in Daltrey's "Yeeeaaaarghhhh!" on Won't get Fooled Again.It's the scream. The quest is simple: let's share our favourite metal screams.Just two simple rules:1 - it's got to be a single scream, not part of a verse or a chorus2 - more than being loud, more than being long, more than being lungs-crashing, it's got to have SOUL. Maurizio from Kataklysm and Morgan from Kittie. Kittie did a cover of The Runaways. Morgan kills it. so much better than the original. then, anything but Prince. especially Darling Nikki.
