Scottishdood
Don't know if these have been posted yet but just found them on www.lyricsfreak.com. Through the days of lonesome absolution. We survive while spinning in our universe After all were in for the long haul, after all were in for the long fight Hitting all the bulleyes, yet staying out of harmsway, Whats the point of using your tech, when you walk around at midnight A headlong flight, with our eyes closed, we won't give up till were all alone, no body but us and our wants. Alone in the end, human's always win. Through our glassy gaze the world is blue, not the temprature of me without you. After all were just trying grab all we can, not so bad that we can'tgo back again. Trying to hit all the targets a casuality of human desires the wicked means of golden light. Another headlong flight into that night, sky, our eyes are closed Now that were all alone, the clouds are thick our gps isn't always right How do we see going in this headlong flight Out of the dark with our eyes open wide, its just chance that were still our flying. Out to pass the next hurdle we've created a moonless night we fly with our eyes closed [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/r/rush/headlong...t_21013313.html ]

Presto-a RUSH fan!
Yeah...I'm gonna guess those aren't the lyrics. Those are pretty bad. If by some crazy chance they are...Neil must be channeling his inner 10th grade school girl. Most of those lyric websites are updated by anyone who signs up and has an account. Not sure about the websites mentioned, but my guess is this is someone wanting attention and playing a little prank.
Scottishdood
Don't shoot the messenger! Only saying what I've seen. BUT.....What if they do turn out to be the Profs words??
Lerxster
QUOTE (Scottishdood @ Apr 13 2012, 05:14 AM)Don't shoot the messenger! Only saying what I've seen. BUT.....What if they do turn out to be the Profs words?? Neil was quoted along the lines of saying he was shooting for writing some of his best lyrics for this album. Thems ain't them. Gompers
I thought his lyrics have been flowing a bit more smoothly these days. These sound forced.
wilb1972
This can't be the lyrics, the line about stoking the fires of the steel wheels is missing.
rushgoober
Unfortunately, I have to say these sound like the kind of lyrics he would write. I certainly hope not, as I can't imagine how you would sing those and make them sound awesome, but lyrics are weird out of the context of the music. Mostly they just sound kind of pessimistic, which kind of sounds like him as of late and makes me think that maybe they ARE the actual lyrics. Boy, this waiting kind of sucks. Just release the f*cking album already!
trenken
Lots of grammar errors, which doesnt mean much, someone just types those into a lyric site. More importantly, they just don't sound smart enough and are too direct to be Neil's lyrics. They sound a bit amateurish to me. Neil likes to write a little bit cryptically, and everything in there is very direct. Just not his style, unless he's changed it, which I doubt. trenken
Lines like this, "Through our glassy gaze the world is blue, not the temprature of me without you." Talking about the world being blue, then basically saying he's red hot when he's with someone else. So corny. Not his style at all.

QUOTE You and i, we must dive below the surface A world of red neon, and ultramarine Shining bridges on the ocean floor Reaching to the alien shore For you and me --- sex is not a competition For you and me --- sex is not a job description For you and me --- we agree I don't know - sounds to me like they could be him. It seems plausible or possible. I hope they're not, but his lyrics can be pretty clunky.
JohnnyBlaze
QUOTE (trenken @ Apr 13 2012, 09:08 PM) Lots of grammar errors, which doesnt mean much, someone just types those into a lyric site. Neil likes to write a little bit cryptically, and everything in there is very direct. Just not his style, unless he's changed it, which I doubt. I agree with all of that. I think the grammar errors in this specific situation mean a lot. They make the lyrics seem even less genuine.
rushgoober
The thing is, with all the cool images that were floating around of a possible CA cover, the one I least wanted it to be (the red swirly cloud image) ended up being the one, so it's possible that the lyrics that I don't want to be the actual lyrics end up being the actual lyrics. It would seem weird, as so far most things the band didn't want to slip in advance haven't, but who knows. Maybe someone out there did get their hands on the lyrics. Hopefully they aren't... druid13
The other thing that makes me doubt this: I thought it was reported there was a line that went: "OOohhh yeah...Ooo-OOO....Flyin in a Headlong Flight" " We race across the skies using all our might....OOohhh yeah...Ooo-OOO" "OOohhh yeah...Ooo-OOO....Flyin in a Headlong Flight" "UUUUooooo....Alright Baby-Yeah!!!" I do not see these lyrics anywhere? could this report have been wrong?

danielmclark
Guys... these "lyrics" were posted on a site that has zero credibility, for a song that hasn't been leaked yet. What on earth makes you think they might possibly be real? They're not. They're incredibly fake.
