Rod in Toronto
Not bad, eh??? The guitar part at the beginning sounds a bit like Deja Vu, from Balance.
Presto-digitation
Has a 1984 flavor to it...some Simple Rhyme qualities too in the verse.
Rod in Toronto
Yep...and I like that they've included "Look at all the people here tonight" in the lyrics...makes it easier for Dave to remember the words!!!
Lost In Xanadu
Come on - do we really need a new thread for every VH snippet?
Presto-digitation
Sure. If you bury it in the Tattoo thread people won't look. Plus we're competing with Dream Theater for the most obnixious posts.  Just...ignore it, like when there's violence and offensive gay things on the television. Don't write to the FCC, just...change the channel.

LOL - I really don't care - but going by that other thread... some people get upset about these things  Too bad youtube is blocked at work - I'll have to try and remember to check it out when I get home. metaldad
I think it's a 1000 x better than Tattoo. Sounds like the Diver Down era

greg2112
The guitar sounds great, but the chorus seems pretty awkward.

Rod in Toronto
Since we're talking gay offensive things...no brown sound on the new snippet...more like beige sound. Rather thin guitar in here!
Perchance to Dream
Very nice! It's got an old school Van Halen vibe to it.
thesweetscience
Tattoo took me a while to get but I like this right off.
danielmclark
It's incredibly thin to me. There just seems to be *no* bass here to speak of. I can kinda hear it a little bit waaaay in the back, but the song overall has no OOMPH to it.
Presto-digitation
Another!  The Trouble With Never http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0071GG...27523002&sr=1-

Sounds like the Diver Down era +1 but I also heard a bit of Hear About It Later from Fair Warning and other nibs'n'nubs . I had to pause it when something better came on TV though, "I have a structured settlement and I need cash now"..........) Thanks for the link Presto-digitation! Presto-digitation
Apparently both Blood & Fire and The Trouble With Never can be purchased and the full songs downloaded NOW on amazon UK.
USB Connector
After two listens, I'm not sure what to make of it. It doesn't have the kick and energy that I know Van Halen to have but at the same time, it's different so I can't judge it yet without letting it sink in. Do I think it's better than Tattoo? Maybe. The song has grown on me since I first heard it.

Rod in Toronto
The Trouble with Never is more along the line of House Of PAin...kind of a chaotic riff going behind the vocals. I like it!!!!
