RUSHHEAD666
The tune "Stay" on "Station To Station" was it for me!
RUSHHEAD666
For some reason I have always loved the "Let's Dance" album because Stevie Ray Vaughan shreds on that record. Some may say that it's an overplayed MTV album but I love it! I just broke my own rule! "Station To Station" "The Man Who Sold The World" "Let's Dance" What did Bowie see in Stevie way back then to hire him????? Bowie has great fukking taste. Ear Slick is damn good too. Tinwoodsman
Station To Station really hit home, but taking a left turn to Albequerque ... Hunky Dory is quite a gem! and I will break a few rules ... sorry, but ... I have a fondness for Ziggy and Heathen. Oops! Yes, I am a Bowie fan. I love breaking the rules!! Interesting that you really like "Heathen." I think listened to that album once and shelved it. I will give it a spin tomorrow. Cheers! apetersvt
I actually don't own any David Bowie albums, but growing up, my older brother was big into Bowie so I listened to him a lot in the mid 80s. Anyways, my favorite would have to be "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars".

Bastille Dave
QUOTE (Albone2112 @ Jan 5 2012, 09:26 PM) Ziggy Stardust followed closely by Scary Monsters i don't own any DB albums other than a couple Greatest Hits, but from what I've heard over the years I'd hafta agree with those two. I used to hate "Let's Dance" until I learned (many years later) that SRV played on it, so I've changed my tune on that one.

SRV was taken way too soon. It still saddens me. I had tickets to see SRV open for Jeff Beck in Oakland and I worked at Safeway instead. I always figured that I would see him some other time. Nope. Clapton's helicopter took his life.
RUSHHEAD666
QUOTE (Albone2112 @ Jan 5 2012, 07:26 PM) Ziggy Stardust followed closely by Scary Monsters Interesting. "Scary Monsters" isn't even on my Bowie Radar. Should I give it a spin?

"Scary Monsters" isn't even on my Bowie Radar. Should I give it a spin? Yep, it's easily his best 80s album with Fripp of King Crimson on guitar on some songs. Pete Townshend plays guitar on a song (Because You're Young) as well.

The Cat 3
I love the album, "Hours"... http://www.progarchives.com/progressive_rock_discography_covers/3790/cover_40491919112009.jpg ...although if we are talking classic Bowie, then I have give the nod to "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust". http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/01/ZiggyStardust.jpg
