  1. Sheffield - sound very good from block 104 row J. Much better than last time at Sheffield when I had floor seat.
  2. Fantastic/Awesome/Mesmeric....I could go on but you should get the picture by now. Wow, the boys were on fire. So much better than their previous visit to Sheffield on the last tour 2 years ago. Couldn't believe how well the Clockwork Angels material came over live...and Geddy's vocals were spot on throughout the concert. I could even hear the orchestra! One small gripe though....for the first time I thought the 2112 section sounded "tired". Perhaps that's just me as the crowd reaction throughout the concert suggested otherwise.
  3. Status Quo: Piledriver Hello Quo On The Level.
  4. T Rex Status Quo Golden Earring Blue Oyster Cult Rush Marc Bolan has a lot to answer for!!!!!
  5. There is a live dvd available recorded at the Montreux festival which shows this band at their peak. Well worth checking out. Mark Hollis seems to have withdrawn completely from the music business which is a shame...the guy was a genius.
  6. Got my ticket for Sheffield through the post almost immediately! Booked via the venue ticket office.
  7. Got to be Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or Sabotage. Not a filler track on either album. Sabbath Vol 4 is a close runner as well.
  8. Al Stewart - "Modern Times". Catchy as hell and the guitar outro..... Such an underrated artist.
  9. Blue Oyster Cult- "Secret Treaties" Got this on import when it was first released - amazing songs/lyrics which started my love affair with this band. For me an iconic album cover from a band I just had to investigate further!
  10. Halo Effect. Can't get the "chorus" bit out of my head.
  11. The guy from Alter Bridge now singing with Slash. Myles Kennedy? Something in the way he sings and sounds just makes me turn off whenever i hear him. If i didn't know any better i would say he is trying too hard to sound like Axel! Gary Moore (rip). Sorry, he really did not have a singing voice.
  12. I will probably regret this, however here goes.... Eric Clapton is overrated!! Oops.....
  13. I thought the Time Machine back rig was impressive, but the lighting rigs and pyros were not as good as S&A and R30.
  14. You had to order the fanpack by a certain date to get your name on the poster.
  15. Got mine this morning - great package. Finally found my name on the poster but it took a while as not strictly in alphabetical order. Amazed also to see the photo taken at the Hammersmith Odeon from behind Neal Peart looking out to the audience...and thats me in the 3/4 row (long time ago!) dead centre. Best seat I ever had at a Rush gig!!!!!
  16. The Kick Inside and Lionheart does it for me. Its all so English! Beautiful dreamscapes in all her songs from this period - not so keen on her later stuff with the echoey vocals and drum machine backing. The Man with the Child in his Eyes is pure brilliance.
  17. 10cc - Rubber Bullets 10cc - I'm not in love Springwater - I will survive Dave Edmunds - I here you knocking Status Quo - Paper Plane T Rex - Ride a white swan Atomic Rooster - Devil's answer.
  18. Just received my ticket for Sheffield - phoned the box office and was able tochoose my seat! Unfortunately nothing in the standing area (unless I wanted tobe 30 rows back) so got a good aisle seat on the first tier Alex's side. Bring it on.....!
  19. Budgie - Napolean Bona part One and Two (shame there isn't level 12!) Montrose - Space Station no 5. Motorhead - Runaround Man Van Halen - Loss Of Control Rush - ByTor and the Snowdog Blue Oyster Cult - Siege and Investiture....(Off Imaginos)
  20. Every song off every album. Have to agree with previous poster that signals era put me off them for a while, but grew to love the keyboards era. I even gave Vapour Trails another listen the other day....mmmm interesting....
