Harry Brown is a great film...Michael Caine is no joke in this flick.

Have you seen "The Man who would be King"? Connery and Caine at their peaks--incredible chemistry between actors and director. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Harry brown is excellent, gritty and realistic.

Michael Caine is interesting and effective in any role i've seen him in. Harry Brown slipped under the radar for some reason...have you seen him in the "slueth" films?

Yeah Harry Brown was a good film, tough and gritty. Caine was Caine! notworthy.gif

Yeah I've seen TMWWBK many times, not for a few years, great film though...

That was a good scene with the two zonked out dealers, they were convincing. I liked how Harry cheerfully told one of his marine stories to the guy as we was dying...

scratching my head why they made the second edition with Jude Law. The first one was AWESOME cost a load of bread to get the DVD, like 50 bucks.

TMWWBK--funniest part when indian guy with the watermelon gets thrown out of train saying "thank you sir" as he hits the ground rofl3.gif

Just another artistically pointless remake, purely for the money. Now they can sell two versions on DVD and Blu Ray...

I rented it because my wife wanted to see it. I went in thinking that it would suck ass. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

goodpost.gif ^ This. And, also pleasantly surprised! Actaully looking forward to the next one - I can't believe it. The main character is a really solid actress. Check out Winter's Bone sometime. She is phenomenal in it.

Flight Of the Phoenix.

My dad always talked about that movie when I was a kid. I suppose it was great in 1965, but I found it kind of boring.

When Jimmy Stewart shoots the camel it is an incredibly intense moment. I absolutely love that movie. I guess it's a little slow by today's standards, but I think it is really good. Highly recommended.

There was an unnecessary remake starring Denis Quaid. It was fine, but I'll take the original.

The White Diamond--Werner Herzog

Documentary

There is a scene in this movie that involves a HHHHUUUUUGGGGEEEE Silverback Gorilla bull-rushing a primatologist holding his baby gorilla--I swear it made me almost change MY underwear.

The Primatologist stood his ground and dropped the baby...the big gorilla then just took the baby and went on his way. Those are big f'n animals yes.gif

Where does Werner find these people?
