It was a good film with terrific cinematography and solid performances. I was disappointed by how condensed the twelve years felt. I can judge better after I read the book the film is based on but I have a feeling that the film adaptation is poor.

Captain Phillips

A very good movie which held its suspense throughout the movie.

I especially like the scene where one pirate and captain Phillips are face to face and the pirate says "look at me ... Look at me! I'm the captain now"

Tom Hanks is a great actor, but I felt the Somali actor owned that scene.

I put this on 1 am last night, fell asleep about 40 minutes in (which is OK, the intro is the best part of the movie anyway)

This is a perfect movie to start watching late night at 1am-3am.

This is like Shaun of the Dead crossed with Invasion of the Body Snatchers (but with a Tommyknockers-like alien robot twist). I didn't know any of this until 45 minutes into the film when the whole film changed from being a kind of lads reunion drama comedy into a sci-fi action comedy. I should have known!

Not bad but Tracy Scoggins is no Claudia Christian.

Not as fun as I thought it would be. I like Will Ferrell but sometimes he tend to think that yelling weird lines is enough, but sometimes that doesn't cut it for me.

I have this -it's brilliant! :ebert: I also have Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead which make up the Cornetto Trilogy.

Pretty spooky and pretty good.

Good movie. Watched it in the cinema and I'm surprised no-one heard me say "F****** hell!" at one moment.

Yeah that was about the spookiest thing I've seen in a while and better than Patrick Wilson's other spooky film series "Insidious".

The Five-Year Engagement.

I thought it was going to be a stupid, sappy romantic comedy that would provide background noise while I did homework but it actually ended up being pretty damn funny.

Riddick from Redbox. Good movie for a buck. Last theater movie was The Lego Movie with my 3 year-old. I thought it justified the over 90% Rotten Tomato rating.
