Didn´t know it was a remake. As soon as I saw the son with his dark haired, heavy eyed girlfriend I knew they were the villians. Why? She looked the part, and he seemed distant. And when characters get killed, what is the the answer? Go to a bedroom. Alone. In a house surrounded by enemies. Genius. I think growing up I have seen way to many of these films, and next to the likes of Funny Games and Sinister, it pales. No tension, wit or style. One part I loved was the kickass heroine. The problem with the film itself though is the fight scenes look like they're still rehearsing. I saw Clea Duval fighting in slow motion and I thought she's hopeless!
