My parents have a mailbox on the street so the mailperson doesn't have to get out of the truck. When we first got married and lived in an apartment, there was a group mailbox that was a few doors down that we had to go to to get our mail. Now, we have a mailman that walks around and delivers right to the house, to a mailbox next to the front door.

a mailbox on the side of our house. Unfortunately, it confuses some of the mail people that deliver our mail. There is a bus stop in front so our landlady thought it would be a better idea to have all mail go to the side on our deck. Sometimes, mailmen drop the mail under the front door.

Welp...lets see..same way It's been, for yrs now. wink.gif

I put one foot in front of the other..open the front door

walk thru, proceed to walk to the curb, open the box,

pick up the mostly junk mail, toss irrelevant material

into: 1) the air or 2) trash can... then do a U'ie, and walk

back thru the front door...that's all there is to it!!!!

Right now, in a mailbox on the front porch.

In a couple weeks, I'll have a P.O. box of sorts in the residence hall. Packages will be held at the front desk.

We have a group of mailbox up on the HWY as we say here, there is 5 box at the end of the 1/2 mile drive that enters the State Highway.

Got to keep one eye on the coal trucks and dumb drivers, speed limit is 65.

chickendance.gif Turning into here can be a little scary at times, coal trucks are big and heavy and they haul ass.

I get mine the same way I used to deliver it. To a dirty stinkin' mailbox at the end of the driveway on the side of the street. Delivered by a dirty stinkin' rural tin can of a mail truck that is 10 degrees hotter inside than it is outside.

And even though I was acclimated (as Mara's hubby would say) to the heat back then, by the time I got home after a hot summer day, I was dirty and stinkin' too! But thankfully, the

, and have been for almost 2 years now!

Delivered to the house to a mailbox.

It's especially conveinent with the bad winters we can get around here. I don't have to worry about getting all bundled up just to get the mail. I stick half my body out the front door and grab it out of the box and then i'm back in the house in about five seconds.

Like TullSkull I live on a Hwy. Our box is opposite the driveway so I have to cross that to get the mail. Right now I'm having trouble getting my mail carrier to understand the concept of closing the mail box eyesre4.gif
