  1. Been awhile, so I thought I'd drop by to post 3 small vids from today... SiriusXM had Geddy and Alex chatting in their Town Hall studio about different topics. It was a 1 hour Q n A show. Not sure why Moore was hosting, as this is the first time I've seen him host anything. Anyway, here's a few highlights from the Town Hall. Until next time... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yz5UBnk-JOg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7lI8V5rQ_k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p75V7EFiDmU
  2. Great night at this location! Placed was sold out, as this was a smaller venue and not as big as a normal cinema anyway, because at this cinema you have to be 21 to enter the joint. It's called CineBistro http://cobbcinebistro.com/. You can dine on a nice meal while throwing down on some alcoholic beverages if you want, and watch the movie too. Kinda expensive but great stuff for a night with Rush on the screen! We got there and the hostess took us to our seats, then we ordered some food and a couple drinks. Everyone in the place seemed ready to party and a few mins. later the show started. The sound was excellent and it looked like the people were really enjoying themselves. Was nice also to see interviews with members of the Strings section. After the show ended it seemed everyone there left in a good mood. We would gladly do it again if another Rush movie is ever shown. Until next time...
  3. Awesome show as usual. But I'm posting because I think I had a Mullet sighting around 10:20am but I can't confirm. A GeddysMullet sighting that is... Me and my g/f were in our room getting ready to check out of the hotel, when I look out the 4th floor window and there she was, the elusive GeddysMullet of TRF, walking across the parking lot for a ways, turning around, waving at some people leaving the hotel in their vehicle, then walking back to the hotel carport check in area. At least I think that was her, but I can't be sure. I had her in my sights though for about 90 seconds. Time enough that I could have easily bagged her, stuffed her, and put her on my wall to display for all my neighbors to see. But sadly, by the time we got our stuff ready and made it down to the first floor lobby to be face to face, Mullet was nowhere to be found. Vanished into thin air. Did I really see her to begin with, or was it all an illusion? Answer me Mullet, if that was you that is.
  4. Verizon FiOS here. No problems. Bob, if you got the 2 year NFL Sunday Ticket, check the price on the 2nd year because I saw on TV when they were running the 'free first year' special earlier last football season that the 2nd year was at full price, and it isn't cheap.

  6. QUOTE (sullysue @ Jan 15 2012, 12:55 AM)There are A LOT of Van Halen threads lately. I understand the interest, and I appreciate the anticipation. I have it, too, to a degree. But, even if anyone starts a new thread or bumps another non-VH thread, these Van Halen threads will be bumped over them! What's the point at this point? You guys have officially lost it. This is probably your best post ever on TRF miss Sue! Signed, Michael Anthony's liquor bottle

Looks like I will have to carry the long hair torch for the over 40 crowd on TRF from here on out. lol I ain't cutting mine until Geddy finally cuts his, whenever that may be!
  8. I admire them for at least trying to get back in the groove but, uh, no, the ship is now boarding... http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/029/364/failboat2.jpg
  9. Has Rush ever waited 6 months to start a tour after releasing an album? Not to my knowledge. Why would they start now? Seems like the only way the tour would start in the fall is if the album doesn't come out until Summer/Fall.
  10. I looked briefly but didn't see anything on this concert from their Ottawa show in November. Anyway, 2 guys doing dueling Rush song intros. Only 4 song intros lasting a few seconds but still cool to see. Starts near the 2:40 mark in the video...
  11. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Dec 26 2011, 12:57 AM)I'm *amazed* this thread got to three pages. I guess the mods are off for Christmas A shit thread like this stays here for ages but you let one stray nipple slip out of a babes bikini or a pubic hair poke out in the That's It thread and that pic is deleted within 10 minutes.
  12. QUOTE (jnoble @ Dec 23 2011, 06:47 PM)I get annoyed when I see Rush on the Boneyard or Deep Tracks and it turns out to be a song I've heard a zillion times like studio TS or Limelight etc. Way to think outside the box, radio people. You faulting the DJs just because you weren't listening at the right time? LOL Here's the playlist from the last 3 days or so. Sure they have a certain playlist that needs to be played and rotated, and they will do that every few days depending on which songs they play but look at how many various Rush songs also were played besides the usual suspects. Not a bad list of variety there for a 72 hour span. 13. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Dec 17 2011, 11:43 AM)QUOTE (Invisible To Telescopic Eye @ Dec 16 2011, 02:58 PM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Dec 16 2011, 05:17 PM) I have watched AGT from the beginning but I WON'T any longer! I HATE Howard Stern, he's a disgusting pig! No more disgusting or a pig than your average American...He just does it bigger. And he's not afraid to admit and talk about what everybody does and wants. Howard is you, me and everybody else....only public. He ain't me I can tell you that! Oh Cindy babes, I can visualize it already. Soon you'll be watching AGT on your couch, stark naked, while letting out big loud farts, and cussing like a sailor on an aircraft carrier! And doing all this while riding on top of a Sybian with full blast vibration bay beee!!!
  14. QUOTE (Presto-a RUSH fan! @ Dec 16 2011, 07:56 PM)Oh and selling out? And to NBC no less? Who gets that last laugh? I'd say Stern is laughing...all the way to fort knox. Ya, this is a win-win scenario for all those involved, AGT, NBC, Stern, and Sirius also. If NBC agreed to move the show from LA to NY just for Stern so he could keep doing his Sirius show, then you know they can smell good ratings. I never watch AGT so it doesn't matter to me who's on there, but I hope it works out for all parties involved.

This is a killer project though. I saw blueprints of the Enterprise back in the 80's and freaked out on the detail on that, but this is truly taking it to another level. yeah, I meant to write 400. That wouldn't be so big if it only held 40. Where did you see those blueprints? Saw them in a book store while looking at Trek stuff. I was with a buddy I worked with at the time. Check this out, we were so geeked up on Trek back then, we were actually looking for blueprints on how to build two actual working communicators that they used on the show. How goofy that was now that I look back on it. At the time you could buy those communicators at Trek conventions but back then the actual ones that worked like walkie talkies were very expensive, so we thought we could save some bucks and buy the stuff and make our own. Happened to see the Enterprise blueprints while we were there. We actually went to a couple electronics stores after that to see about buying all the necessary diodes, resistors, 1 inch speaker for the comunicator, etc. We had bought almost all the parts we needed but never finished the project because we both changed jobs not to long after that. To this day I think I still have the parts for mine at my Mom's house somewhere, that's if she hasn't thrown them out by now. Ah yes, those were geeky Trek times for sure.

  17. QUOTE (treeduck @ Nov 22 2011, 02:01 PM)The real station name: Sharon Radio... *Doing my Ozzy impersonation* "Who the f**k is this Sharon bitch I keep hearing about!?!?! I don't recall any f***ing Sharon in my life! ... Oh wait... bloody hell..."
  18. Congrats to Ozzy. Should be interesting to see what he says and what music he plays when he is on there. --- Ozzy's Boneyard, channel 38, will feature classic hard rock and metal music from artists like Black Sabbath, Metallica, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Pantera and Van Halen. The 24/7 music channel is expected to launch later this year. SiriusXM listeners will hear Ozzy present music as well as share personal stories about his career as a solo artist and as front-man for Black Sabbath. The channel will also air shows and specials hosted by Ozzy family members, Sharon, Jack and Kelly. "After everything I've been through in my career I never imagined I'd end up with my own radio channel on SiriusXM. This is f*****g amazing! Does this mean I can play whatever I want?" said Ozzy Osbourne. "No one represents the evolution of hard rock and heavy metal more than Ozzy Osbourne," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. "We know Ozzy's Boneyard will be alive and kicking." Ozzy Osbourne recently announced that Black Sabbath has reunited to record their first new studio album in 33 years and that the band will launch a world tour in 2012. Ozzy's Boneyard joins SiriusXM's roster of channels created in partnership with legendary musicians, including Bruce Springsteen's E Street Radio, Pearl Jam Radio, Eminem's Shade 45, Willie Nelson's Willie's Roadhouse, B.B. King's Bluesville, Elvis Radio, Jimmy Buffett's Radio Margaritaville and Siriusly Sinatra.
  19. Ya we have it but I get to write off the cable, internet, and phone bill because I'm a trader. If I had to pay for it I'm not sure it would be worth paying for as I don't watch much TV at all.
  20. Our very own GG, yes that's right GG. As Johnny Carson once said to Dolly Parton, "I'd give a year's pay to see what's under there."
  21. Well the Rangers got blown out tonight but ZZ Top hit it out of the park I thought. Never been a really big fan but it sounded to me like they still have it going on even after all these years.
