IChoseFreeWill
All 3 members are iNtuitive Thinkers and thus the band and its songs are iNtuitive Thinkers. So I will just do the Enneagram types of the songs. 1 - Mission - Freewill 2 (hard because iNtuitive Thinkers can NOT be 2's on the Enneagram) - Entre Nous - The Pass 3 - Limelight - Marathon - The Spirit of Radio 4 - Closer to the Heart - 2112 5 (A LOT of their songs are 5, since Neil is 5w6) - Natural Science - Earthshine - Countdown 6 - The Fear Cycle (The Enemy Within, The Weapon, Witch Hunt, Freeze) - Red Sector A 7 - Red Barchetta - Roll The Bones 8 - Stick it Out - Driven (possibly, arguably) 9 (again, many Rush songs are 9w1) - Xanadu - Time Stand Still More examples, please!!! phlaaps
For me, Entre Nous and The Pass were a total surprise. I can work out the rest but am having difficulty with those. Brilliant work.
Scars
I looked it up and still don't get it. Would you be willing to explain what all of this means in layman's terms? It sounds interesting.

Babycat
QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ May 25 2011, 07:30 PM) +1 - I also looked it up... What does 'Enneagram' actually mean?
Scars
I think (?) I get it. This site lists the 9 types (each type corresponding with a number). The songs listed fall under a certain type (due to the message/lyrics of the song). If that's correct, then I think it's a very interesting (and unique) analysis of the songs
Mr. Not
^ If the website you linked accurately describes the 9 Enneagrams, then I don't really agrees with IChoseFreeWill's list.

You are correct. As I said before, Type 2 in the Enneagram would be the hardest one for Rush songs to be in. Kenneth and Tommy- what would you place in each type then? Well, I am a 3w4. I do love the ones that are 3s. But my favorite I typed as 1- though YMMV.
JohnnyBlaze
I don't know man. Enneagrams of personality have about as much credibility as numerology. I'm thinking you might as well assign personalities to each number on a 6-sided die then roll it to see what kind of character you have. Dude: I rolled a "3"...the same as Peart! I knew we had very similar personalities!!! Edited May 27, 2011 by JohnnyBlaze
