The Cars Are Back!

It has been 24 years since their last record.

It sounds pretty good...

...check out the pre-listen at Rolling Stone.

Wow. 24 years? That's insane.

Don't know their music very well but my dad's a big fan. I'll have to let him know about this.

Yes! I love The Cars! I have my tickets to see them next week at The Fox in Oakland! I can't wait! R.I.P. Benjamin Orr!

Awesome! I didn't really they were also taking the album on the road. Please post your thoughts on the show if you have a chance. Thanks!

Very excited about this. Sounds great.

Back when I was a kid, The Cars were as cool as the other side of the pillow.

My wife and I and another couple are going to see them next week. We're really looking forward to it,

Lucky you and your wife! Please let everyone know what you all thought of the show. My wife and I would have a blast seeing them in concert!

I really love the first two Cars albums. After that it all fell apart.

To be honest, the "Touch And Go"tour in the 80's was one of the worst, most lifeless live shows I have ever seen out of hundreds I have attended.

Will do.

I'm very curious to see how they are now. It's such a small venue, and playing without Benjamin Orr...I wonder how they will do the setlist.

From interviews I've read, it sounds like they will not avoid Ben's songs.

This is really freaking good.

I have listened to "Move Like This" about 10 times already and really love it.

I'm going to see them at Roseland Ballroom in New York City on 25 May 2011...very excited.

Looking forward to reviews of the new CD and shows from those of you who posted here as well.

Hey Seatmate RGLT! bekloppt.gif

I heard "Sad Song" today on the radio...it sounded like a 'grownup' version of The Cars. It pleased me. Looking forward to hearing more.

Greetings back, Your Highness!

You guys should think about a trip into the city for this one.

(25 May 2011 - Roseland Ballroom)

Maybe we can talk Tarkus406 into it as well and meet up early for a TRF reunion dinner beforehand!

So the album came out yesterday.

I've had a chance to give it two full listenings.

I think there are a couple of tracks that miss the mark, but overall this is very satisfying if you're a Cars fan from way back (like me).

Right now, Keep on Knocking stands out. It's a seriously rocking tune.

Anyone else pick it up yet? What do you think?
