Mara
QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Mar 10 2011, 07:57 AM) Every pizza mentioned on here sounds pretty damn fine....except for that bacon & egg one. I thought the locals out here were the only ones demented enough to do that to a pizza You and me both. Why ruin an otherwise perfectly tasty pizza by putting a noxious fried egg in the middle of it? That happened to me when some friends & I ordered a pizza for takeout in Paris. We got it back to the flat, opened the lid and found those two f***ing eggs staring up at us like giant diseased eyeballs. I can't remember if I ended up eating junk food from the tabac that night or just went without dinner. I assure you I did not eat that pizza! Lost In Xanadu
Too many good ones to limit to just one. I love the local thin and crispy. Pepperoni and bacon or sausage and onion are my preferred toppings. Gino's East is the best deep dish pizza I've ever had.  I really like Rocky Rococco's pan style pizza too, and there's one right by Miller Park  When living in MD, I loved Bertucci's brick oven pizza, haven't found a good brick oven pizza in the Milwaukee area..... Queen of Megadon
Large cheese, well done. That'll do it.  But if I'm in the mood for a change...white pie with broccoli rabe, or specifically the special (sausage and meatball) at Denino's here on Staten Island, followed up by Ralphs Ices. A summer treat that simply cannot be beat. Oh, and all the rest of you? Pizza, if it ain't from NYC, its crrraaap!

This dish was served at Charleston's which is a five-star gourmet restaurant featuring low-country food from the mid-Atlantic region.  http://www.charlestonrestaurant.com/menus/...AIN_2.24.11.pdf Just amazing.
