Great kit yyzyy!

The Sabian Stax are great effects cymbals. Portnoy makes great use of them.

Paiste has some stack cymbals. The Trash set is not as expensive and gives a similar sound.

Check out their site. They have good sound samples...

I think the max stax are worth the cash...they sound absolutely incredible when using the double kick at the same time...really really worth the cash and they look f***ing sweet too!!!

Hi TRF drummers,

Got some new pics of my revised setup. I went back to double bass and I ended up mounting a 10" tom lower than normal, near my hihat. I'm not using electronics or triggering any more, but I am now using red colored LED's on my kick drum graphics and up thru my snare. At 1 minute 36 seconds you can see the LED's good for a few seconds on the kicks on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc6jN-joYOw . You can't see them on the stills:

So i went to guitar center and decided I needed a few cymbal sleeves. So I picked up some Yamahas for $4 then figured why not use the no interest or payments for a year while I could. Point of the story I walked out with my own handcrafted drum made on March 19th 2009. Collectors Series DW snare in Ebony Stain with black hardware. Pictures to come after I can pry myself away from playing it.

Personally, I would've just said songs known- all. I can play them with only one that I'm still learning all the sticking patterns -Scars.

Thanks guys, I was actually wanting to upload pics, but one of the admins said that the board wasn't set up to do that.

I guess it's time to finally open a Photobucket account. b_sigh.gif

Actually, Photobucket isn't that complicated. I kept avoiding it last year, but eventually I gave in, and got one. It's pretty easy to use.

Cool, I'll get one soon when things settle down. Been a very rough week.

So I cracked my 16 in B8 crash playing the other day. I was going to upgrade just the one but decided to take in all my cymbals and just upgrade. I got an A custom pack on clearance for around $600 with the extended warranty after I traded mine in. Considering it's over $800 worth of cymbals separate without tax and extended warranty it's not too bad. Anyway i'm down a few cymbals for now but they sound better. I'm still using the B8 splash for now as well as the XS20 china. But I have a 18 in A custom fast crash, 16 in A custom crash, 14 in A custom hats and 20 in A custom medium ride. Sounds a lot better than my old B8's for sure.
