  1. My buddies girlfriend got all pissed off at me because I made a joke about a comment on a picture from the tom petty show. He is completely trashed and I pointed it out and she went on a rant about how I did nothing to help out with him and she looks forward to the time when she can joke about me being that wasted in a picture. First he was not my responsibility, you bought him the ticket therefor you take care of him. Second there is a picture of me that drunk and I have a mohawk which SHE shaved into my head. Third and lastly I was trying to have a good time with a girl I had not seen in a year who happened to ditch her friends just to hang out with me.
  2. Got an eagle on the golf course on a par 4. The rest of the round was terrible but who cares, I mean it's an eagle.
  3. QUOTE (jdouglas @ Aug 2 2010, 10:53 PM) look at geddy's security ID photo (I know, what ID?, what geddy?...just look down and left..) All of this is going on in the photo and you look at Geddy's photo id?
  4. I personally would love another overture R30 style. It is, or was, time machine, take one off each album and blend them. As for what I would love to hear, All of Natural Science, Either FBN By-tor or Anthem, Roll The Bones, Kid Gloves. Essentially the songs they won't play I want to hear. Oh Bastille Day would be awesome too.
  5. QUOTE (Turn Me On Dead Man @ Jul 28 2010, 01:25 PM) http://i43.tower.com/images/mm100924133/wolves-calla-stephen-king-paperback-cover-art.jpg After the beastly Wizard and Glass, I felt drained. But once I started the fifth installment, I found the groove again. I love it so far. I've read a few reviews that claim Wolves is slow-paced. Codswallop. If you want to blame Stephen King for a slow-paced book, target Wizard. I absolutely love that series. I have read through it twice and it was even better the second time through. Wizards may have gone slow but once you hit the last hundred pages or so in Wolves it's non stop to the end of the series so you should be prepared. As for me now I just finished up 1984 again and am re-reading White Noise.
  6. QUOTE (Alex @ Jul 27 2010, 08:48 PM) This thread is stupid Quite the response.
  7. QUOTE (ljr869 @ Jul 27 2010, 06:13 PM) Necromancer, no, it won't be someone like you who blows smoke in my face. I know this because I'll be sitting with people, like me, who do have money. We fly in from a completely different city to see the best band at the best venue. We will now allow a low-life to ruin our experience. So, again, when we ask you nicely to put it out, please do. One more thing, ask yourself this: Is there a link between me not having money and being a dope-smoker? Willie Nelson, Dave Grohl, at one point in time all 3 members of Rush, All of The Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Who, The majority of celebrities below the age of 35. All of these people have 2 things in common. They have more money than you and they smoke pot. Congratulations, you continue to make yourself look more like a jackass.
  8. QUOTE (ljr869 @ Jul 27 2010, 12:14 PM) For those of you potheads going to Red Rocks, do yourself a favor: wear the name of your favorite local hospital on a necklace. Smoking is prohibited (thank God) in the seating areas. So, when I ask you to politely put out your skunk weed and you less then politely refuse (even though you'll all claim how conscientious you all are) that previously mentioned hospital is where you'll wake up. Skunk weed = Good weed, just sayin I wouldn't blame them for not wanting to put it out. And you should probably wear the name of your favorite local police station on your shirt so you can go there after being charged with battery.
  9. At this rate I'm thinking about trying out for a team and showing my stuff.
  10. This is pretty funny because when standing by the fence in the lawn a couple guys came up and asked me if I happened to have a bowl on me and they would smoke me out if I could help them. I politely replied that I would love to help them out but I didn't happen to have one with me. I apparently looked like the obvious pot head in the lawn because the guy then replied with no seriously man I'll smoke you out if you just let us use your bowl. I however did not have a bowl with me and we parted ways. I agree Rush and pot happen to go hand in hand. We used to make a tradition of on Saturday nights turning on this waterfall that had lights in it, putting 2112 on vinyl, turning off the lights and lighting up. Ah reminiscing on the good old days, ok it was last summer but we haven't done it yet this year.
  11. Heading out now. Hoping for 2-3 miles without dying.
  12. It's been way too long for me. In fact you guys probably totally forgot I run. Anyway I finally went out and spent some money on some much needed running headphones. Tomorrow the running begins again.
  13. Neil missed a crash hit on 2112. Me and Phil both looked at each other both shocked and confused and laughed about it. I guess even the best mess up an extremely small amount every 40 years or so. The show was still awesome though.
  14. I'm upset. Now i will leave trf for several more months
  15. I have as a matter of fact seen many rosewood snare drums. Not made by big name companies of course but by smaller custom companies. I'm also on a forum that's all custom builders though. It's pretty cool to see what people come up with that aren't just cookie cutter kits that the big companies push out. Not knocking my kit or anyone elses on here, just saying there are more possibilities than the 6 finishes the companies allow you to pick. Also nice Gretsch kit. I had a really hard time deciding between my PDP kit and a Gretsch Maple Renown. The Gretsch had a great kick but I preferred the toms on the PDP. Also I am more of a fan of the PDP mounting system, allows for a little bit tighter mounting.
  16. QUOTE (troutman @ Nov 9 2009, 12:22 PM) I was able to get in 15 miles this past weekend! That's Awesome! I had no time for running this weekend. Had a six hour class which rolled into band practice. Then Sunday I had to go to a play which was all in sign language and then work on a project for another class. I got my usual amount in but it seems like you got to get quite a good run in.
  17. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Nov 6 2009, 01:04 PM) Go Habs! http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s294/Godeater2112/misa.jpg I quoted this just to get this picture on the thread another time. But man she would look good in blue and gold with a vintage sabres logo on her.
  18. Family Guy? I know they brought it back but man did Fox have some flops in the years between dropping that show and bringing it back. Good thing they decided too though since The Simpsons stopped being funny 5 years ago. The movie was great but the show is lacking a bit now. Every now and then a good episode shows up, but they are few and far between. Also I don't know everything about it, but did SciFi stop Eureka for a while. I loved it when it first came on then it disappeared. I know they too recently started putting out new episodes but it seemed like quite a while between seasons.
  19. Been a while since I posted. I made it past my wall and have been back to running for around a month now. Before trying to go for distance again I was trying to cut my time down. I got down to a 7 minute mile the other day which for me is phenomenal. Then i caught the flu, attempted to run, made it a half mile and had to stop. So I have been sidelined for 2 days but i'm feeling much better today and it's looking good for tomorrow.
  20. I'm here just in time since Phil is at work. Just thought I would post an update of the Sabres record. It's now 8-1-1. OH YEA
  21. Another pretty solid song. I was a huge fan of It Doesn't Really Matter. Showed that one to quite a few of my friends.
