metaldad
QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Sep 30 2010, 10:13 PM) QUOTE (Rush Cocky @ Jul 12 2010, 08:57 AM) The best news of the offseason COULD be that Dante Culpepper is no longer on the roster! Culpepper was to the Lions in a lot of ways what JaMarcus was to the Raiders. Another piece of good news, CB Dre Bly, the last defensive back to earn a Pro Bowl berth playing for the Lions, is returning to Detroit. Like I said, this team, especially the defense, will be dramatically improved in 2010. No one is to their team as Jamarcus was to the Raiders. No one. Does it Really matter who the Q.B. is for the Raiders ? I am going say No
laughedatbytime
At the risk of hijacking the thread with Raider talk...I do think it matters at least somewhat. Last year with Gradkowski (not a great QB by any stretch) they were able to beat the Steelers and the Bengals. There's no way that happens with Jamarcus. Rush Cocky
Despite having more points scored than allowed, the Lions go into the bye week 1-5. Are we better? Well, yeah.......sorta.
laughedatbytime
Why? Why? Why? Why did they throw on third down when they could have run the clock down to 1:15? Why?

ILSnwdog
Getting Matt Millen out of the way certainly helped, eh? I have Matt Stafford in my big money fantasy league. I'm loving the numbers that kid is putting up.

EmotionDetector
They are looking fantastic this year. If Stafford can stay healthy, I don't see why they can't contend for the division title. It looks like it might be the most competitive division this year. Principled Man
QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Sep 20 2011, 01:48 PM) They are looking fantastic this year. If Stafford can stay healthy, I don't see why they can't contend for the division title. It looks like it might be the most competitive division this year. The Vikings are BAD. Da Bears have no O-Line, Cutler's getting pounded. And the Packers have lost Nick Collins. Tramon Williams is hurt, Mike Neal is hurt....they'll be giving up some points and yards on defense. They will have to just outscore everyone....and they can do it, too. It'll be the Packers and Lions in the Norris Division. Book it.

I have felt that the Bears have playing over their head for some time now. Not to mention getting a lot of breaks along the way. The Packers have shown vulnerability in their defense, but can still score as much as ever. The team with no glaring weaknesses right now are the Lions! Never thought we'd be saying THAT after what happened 3 years ago....
