I just spoke with PNC and they are saying somewhere between 5:00 and 5:30 the lots will open.

She was very nice and suggested that I call back early next week for the official decision.

Was anyone at Aerosmith last night...any ideas what time the lots opened yesterday?

Hey Guys and Gals,

Looking forward to my first time at this venue! I have heard good things. I saw the boys in Camden in July and it was an incredible show! I guess I'm a little worried about traffic on this holiday weekend. I am about 45 minutes west of Philly. Google maps says it will take about 2 hours and 10 minutes. I'll be coming up I 95 to the parkway so I'm thinking there will be more traffic coming the other way? I want to leave early enough, but I also don't want to get there before the lots open because I am clueless about that area of N.J. and would have no idea of where to go while waiting for the lots to open.

It will be me and 4 friends so I hope to meet a few of you there. We don't have tickets yet, but will be happy just sitting on the lawn. Wondering if I should get tickets now? or just get them there? I'm thinking the lawn won't sell out...

Can't wait for the show!!!

You should be fine with the traffic. Most of the traffic will be heading Southbound towards the Jersey Shore from the north.

As for where to go, I proposed heading to the TGI Friday's in Hazlet on Route 35. It's about 5-10 minutes from the venue. I'm heading there if the lots are closed when I get to PNC.

If the lots are closed, just get back on the Garden State Parkway Northbound. Exit at Exit 117 (Route 35/36). Follow the signs to Route 35 South. TGI Friday's will be on your right hand side just a couple of miles or so down the road. I don't know the exact distance. But you get the idea.

It's close enough to the venue so that when we get word that the lots are open, we'll be back to PNC quickly.

TRF members should identify themselves in their cars by tying something to their antennas. This way you'll know that if someone parks around you and has something on their antenna, that they are more than likely members of this forum.

Plus its a public display of underground unity.

my antennae runs up through my rear window so I can't tie anything to it :maybe:

No antenna? No Problem! Get one of those automobile flag holders they probably sell at your local auto parts store. Carefully remove the American Flag, and the rest is up to you. This can be done. Be resourcefull.

Let's Do This.

I'll definitely look for you bro! Never been to PNC before. Very excited! I don't have my tickets though. I was thinking I would just get them at the box office before the show. Has anyone ever had any issues getting tickets at the venue? Hope it's pretty smooth as I don't want any hold ups before the show.

Thanks Natch! I am a little more at ease now concerning the traffic. The TGI Friday's sounds good to me. I will look for everyone there.

Keep an eye on the weather, folks. The weather forecasters in our area are keeping an eye on Earl.

No...not RUSHHEAD666 http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Hurricane Earl is churning in the Caribbean right now, and is expected to make its way up the coast, potentially impacting our area on Friday.

Hopefully, the storm veers out to sea.

Earl...you bas...d!

Just looked at the latest projected path. NJ is on the westernmost edge of the path for fri am, so there is a chance of it comming close or ontop of us. But a much greater chance of it being far enough off the coast to produce little more than waves at the shore and maybe a few showers.

I am an avid weather junkie, and spend way too much time watching the weather channel. And almost without fail, they are totally wrong on the track this far out. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this one. Pray for high pressure to build and push it out to sea and and earl to weaken so it cant push back.

Worry not! I watched the R30 show at PNC on the lawn in 2004 while Hurricane Charlie came down on us. It was AWESOME! Felt great to have that warm rain keep us feeling great while the band played. It's all perspective! f**k Earl!

And just think of the mud surfing that can be done with 115 mile an hour winds!! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/653.gif

Sis and I are hoping that Earl doesn't f*ck everything up for us as well...

If worse came to worse, how would we know if the show would still be on???

This is what sis just asked me via text..

Probably no way to know for sure until friday. If they cancel anything, they usually wait till the last min. Possibly even just before the show satrts depending on forecast and conditions during the day. Unless it hit us as a cat 5 or so, then PNC would just blow away.

Keep checking the weather, and call the venue on day of show if it looks like we're going to get high winds.

They wont cancel for rain (saw RUSH there while it was downpouring), but might for lightning or high wind. For the Maiden show in June, it was lightning in the distance for a while before the show and the show went on.

Too much of a pain to cancel so only if they have no choice. Unlikely at this point.

If I have to drive all the way down to New Jersey for the show to be cancelled I'm suing Rush! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif
