I'm getting nervous Forumers!

The show is Labor Day Weekend friday - I live about 2 hours away from PNC. I have no idea what time to leave the house to get there with the traffic going to the shore.
I've never traveled near the Shore on LDW, so I don't have a clue.
Anyone have a helicopter? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

I saw them at PNC on R30 and got to the PNC exit on the parkway about an hour before the show. Took 45 min to park. Just made it in on time.

Leave early (sorry no helicopter, but if I hit the lottery between now and then i'll fly you in). If you live two hours away, leave at least 4 before the show. If you are comming from a normally heavy traffic area (such as from phillie or nyc area) give even more. GSP + Labor Day Weekend + Friday night = parking lot.

On the positive side, I headed down the GSP (past PNC) last saturday, when it was beautiful out, and there was very little traffic. I expected to not move for hours. So hopefully the bad economy will cut down traffic a bit and provide some transportation ease. Also, a lot of the shore traffic is further south (which only helps if you are comming from the north).

Leave earlier rather than later. Late = missed songs. early = worst case hang with RUSH fans before the show.

Good luck!

Would really like to meet some of you guys and gals before the show. We are travelling from the UK for this show (myself and son) and are really excited. We are staying in Hazlet but have no idea how long it's going to take to get to the venue in a cab or anything.

Hazlet is just around the corner. You're literally just minutes away from the venue. I'd say leave 30 minutes before you want to be at PNC just to be safe.

I was assuming that the lots would open later than 4.

So, here's my proposal. Head to PNC. If the lots aren't open, head to TGI Fridays. This is what we did at the last show there. We wound up at Exxon after Pags ran into car trouble. I'm sure you've all heard the story by now. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Anyway, we should probably share cell phone numbers via PM in order to find each other at PNC. There are several parking lots.

Sound good to everyone?

Yeah. Who's going so I know who to send my number to?

Greetings all.

I don't actually know any of you personally (long time RUSH fan but new this year to the forum). Been to 15 shows so far, several times alone, and met some great people. Possibly some of you. This time going either alone, with a former co-worker (long time fan also) and his friend (if they ever get back to me) or with a guy I met up with at the Camden show and his friend.

If any of you are interested in making a new RUSH friend, drop me a pm or such. I would love to meet up with some forumers before the show. I live about 30 min from PNC and hope to get there early.

In any event, hope you all have a great time and enjoy the show!

there are actually two parking lots. The mail lot is right in front of the venue. It has rows of dividers with trees. They fill this one first generally.

The second parking lot is large and wide open. There is a road with a sidewalk between the two lots.

Since people will be arriving at all hours, where to meet up is complicated. I'm definitely into it.

Anyone else who is have any ideas. Or just best to contact people as they arrive. I'm willing to give out my number and help coordinate/update/give directions etc.

Less than two weeks!

i would think the rear of the lot would be a good place ..especially those who plan on 4-5 pm...exchange of phone numbers a few days before may be the best bet

not sure what you mean by the other lot..i assume its the furthest spots from the arena

so far as I know...CeeJ and Necro may be going, not sure about the Pags contingent, Slacker is going and PTA is going. Most of those people have my cell number. Slacker and I may be traveling together.

lets start planning people!

The other lot is not even in the picture you showed. Go north northwest of the lot in the picture, through a group of trees about two thirds the width of the main lot, and you will find the second lot. is a walk from the second to the venue.

By the way, there are a couple of other lots not mentioned in the previous posts. One is south of the main parking lot, and it's made up entirely of grass. It is used as an overflow lot when the other lots fill up. The other lot is on the other side of the GSP. This lot is where they direct those who are arriving into the venue from the south, so that when you leave, you're heading onto the GSP Southbound.

The Northernmost lot is a good place to tailgate. It's a little bit of a hike if you're parked in one of the other lots, so be prepared to walk a little bit.

Thanks for pointing out the other lots. I've only come from the north and parked in the main lot and the north lot. Forgot about the others.

Looks on the map that there are two entrances from the north (GSP South) and one from the south (GSP Norht).

Agree the north lot is a good place to tailgate. Never noticed how much longer the road from the north lot to the venue is than it needs to be.

The road to that lot is long because the Arts Center is on a hill, and the road from the lot winds around the edge of a pretty steep hill. You'll see when you're walking from the lot to the venue http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Iv'e been on that road several times (mostly for rush). I remember how steep it is (great exercise before the show and a long walk back to the car after). Never looked at the satellite before. Makes sense about the longer route based on the higher elevation of the shorter route. Thanks again for pointing that out.
