If they ask us to leave, the TGI Friday's is just up the road. No big deal.

If my house was a little closer to the venue, I'd ask everyone to just come to my house. But, I'm about 30 minutes southwest of PNC. I think that's just a little too far.

Hatch is always welcome though! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

PTA--I love you man...but you really are a debbie downer!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed...maybe they'll think better of it this time around...maybe the powers that be will see the error of their ways. Perhaps they will factor in it being a holiday weekend...surely they will come to their senses!

I choose to think positively!

Now that I am looking at a PNC chart -I don't think I see my seat numbers on the stupid chart - What am I behind a wall or something?

aw, crap!

Are there bad seats in the 100 level? I'm probably next to a speaker or something. Anyone know from experience? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

on some of the pnc seating charts they show a little side section next to, obviously, a pole. Is that the 100 or the 200 section?

There are really no bad seats in the 100s...obviously 102 and 103 are perfect.

Enjoy the big rock show...just over a month to go!!!!

Honestly, I'm not a fan of PNC. They treat the patrons like sh*t. I got tossed out for moving up a couple of rows into an empty seat- no warning, nothing. My friend almost got arrested for taking a leak in a bush out in the woods. They have the attitude it's their way or the highway. Scumbags.

Sorry to be a downer, but I feel as if we were targeted for really not doing anything. We weren't out of control etc.

I like the idea of tailgating at a gas station if the parking lots are closed! Rush fans are the best!

If there ain't a party going on, you gotta make your own!

Awesome on getting the two tix for the price of one! You got to scam the scammers. Props

Saw the ticket online over the weekend too. More probably out day of show. Didn't find anything good for the Camden show (as opposed to a whol bunch for the Maiden show at PNC). Probably less good tix last min this tour because of the premium tickets.

As far as tailgating at PNC: There was a lot of people tailgating for the Maiden show in June. Cops all around but didn't bother anybody unless they got out of hand. People openly drinking and being a bit wiley. Didnt see any problems myself.

Hopefully they will be even more chill for RUSH.

Just over two weeks till the show!

the sound, crowd and overall experience at pnc can be great (as long as you dont get to wild nobody messes with you). Been there many times (including 5 RUSH shows) and enjoyed every one.

Saw maiden from the third row in June and the sound was great (much better than at MSG). Not perfect, but great for an outdoor venue.

Enjoy the show!

i saw them at Jones beach, NY and theres always someone that basically ruins a song or 2 getting out of hand/drunk at that place...hoping to be surrounded by real fans and not the ones that really use a concert for an excuse to excessively drink. Thanks for all the info.

Ill be planning to get there at 4:20 sharp http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/cool.gif ..lol

I'm getting nervous Forumers!

The show is Labor Day Weekend friday - I live about 2 hours away from PNC. I have no idea what time to leave the house to get there with the traffic going to the shore.

I've never traveled near the Shore on LDW, so I don't have a clue.

Anyone have a helicopter? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

give yourself twice that! The Garden State Parkway can be a parking lot.

I'm going on the assumption that the lot is opening at 4PM. I'm a little less than an hour away...i'm thinking i'll leave no later than 2.

That said...WHAT'S THE MEET UP PLAN FOLKS???

I think our best bet is the TGI Friday's on Route 35 in Hazlet. There are really no public places that I know of where you can have open containers of alcohol, which I would think is a pre-requisite to finding a place to hang out.

As for anyone taking the Garden State Parkway from the north, my suggestion is to stay in the express lanes, pass the Arts Center exit, exit at 105 (or 114 or 109 if you're in the local lanes) and come up from the south. Keep in mind however, that when you exit PNC after the show, you'll be heading south. They force you to park in certain areas so that when you leave the show, you're heading back the way you came.

It's been my experience that the traffic coming up from the south is MUCH lighter, especially if you're arriving close to showtime.

Also, leave plenty of time for traffic. I've been commuting from Central Jersey into NYC for almost 20 years, so speaking from experience, I'd say leave at least an hour or two earlier than you normally would...if you can. Southbound traffic on Labor Day Friday is hit or miss. I've seen it backed up really really badly, and I've also seen it fairly light. It depends on the weather forecast and car accidents. All it takes is a couple of accidents, and things get all messed up.

I have to wait for my kids to get home from school, so I'll be heading in the direction of PNC at around 4pm. I'll head to the TGI Friday's first, hang out until about 6 and then head to the show.

From the TGI Friday's, the best way to PNC is to take Route 35 south to Laurel Ave. Make a right on Laurel Ave which becomes Van Schoick Rd. Van Schoick becomes Red Hill Road. This will take you right to the GSP at exit 114. Take the GSP North. You'll be heading into PNC from the South.

Of course I'm open to alternate suggestions...such as the Exxon http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing old friends!

EDIT: Made the directions to PNC from TGIF a little more clear.

Why the restaurant?...if lot opens at 4, i see no reason not to head straight there.

And even on days when lot opens at 6, I've never had a problem having a few beers in PNC, even bbq'd there for R30.

My plan is to head straight for the venue...I have to meet my brother there anyway.

Good info though Natch...about heading one exit down...good thinking!

It seems that the lots have been opening at 4:00 for PNC shows.

So, I'm with Queen of Megadon's thinking of heading straight there.

I'm coming from 40 miles north and am concerned about the traffic as well.

I'm going to give PNC another call and see what they are saying.

It'll be great to hang out with all of you.
