I've seen a few episodes of this show called "The Royle Family" which were pretty funny. yes.gif

My in-laws loved this show... but mention the similarly themed "Married With Children" and they would've thumbed their noses. It just goes to show: if the characters have British accents or the program was made in the UK, it automatically raises the "quality level" of the program... at least in the eyes of my elitist in-laws and others.

"Keeping Up Appearances" as well as "Are You Being Served?"

For starters I'd say Red Dwarf, League of Gentlemen and the brilliant Reggie Perrin . It takes some *seriously* good quality to make me laugh these days smile.gif

"Keeping Up Appearances" is funny. I don't watch it regularly, but will tune in every now and then.

Another that I liked is "As Time Goes By" starring Judy Dench.

The British version of The Office is better than the American version. yes.gif

I think the English version is brilliant, but the American version shades it. Steve Carrell's character is so creepy and needy, it's a comic masterclass.

I think Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson are among the best comedic teams ever...

The Young Ones

Dangerous Brothers

Bottom

Mr. Bean

Black Adder

Never could get over how much Michael Jackson was such a fan as well. Somehow that's wrong laugh.gif
