Mr. Not
I'm going to re-do mine and take my time.. Really think about the order.. 1. Grace Under Pressure 2. Moving Pictures 3. Signals 4. A Farewell to Kings 5. Presto 6. Hold Your Fire 7. Snakes & Arrows 8. 2112 9. Hemispheres 10. Power Windows 11. Permanent Waves 12. Caress of Steel 13. Test for Echo 14. Fly By Night 15. Vapor Trails 16. Counterparts 17. Roll the Bones 18. Rush I'm pretty sure of this. I discarded the thoughts of others on the albums when I ranked this time; it seems if a majority thinks highly of something, it'll make me think less of that something (moving pictures) and vise-versa (Test For Echo).. But for this listing I really thought about the albums and the songs they're composed of, and how much I personally enjoy them. I've looked over the list quite a bit, and tested it... In a declining order I love 1-6, like 7-16, don't care for 17, and 18 sucks! It'll be fun to revisit this when Clockwork angels is released! hughes&kettner
me thinks it's FREAKING REDICULOUS for people to label a rush album as "garbage" or "almost garbage"... there are sooo many adjectives and other descriptive words in the english language; some people should branch out a bit. cygnus_thegodofbalance
While some may never understand the lack of respect 2112 is getting, I could NEVER understand the absolute hate for Roll the Bones. See if you can understand this: how would you feel about a CD that has ten songs on it, but you only think one of them is any good? You'd probably "hate it," or put it on the bottom of your pile, wouldn't you? Understand?

What is unfathomable to me is the continuing hatred their first album gets, which is is a stone cold classic, with it appearing a the very bottom of so many lists, and then you take VT, their one truly bad album (IMHO obviously), and it appears so much higher than that album, or often near the top of people's lists. I understand, everyone is different, but man, sometimes I still think people are listening to different albums than I am or are listening with cotton in their ears. Similarly, I am shocked with all the love that Presto, RTB and T4E get from some people. Oh well. To each their own. The good news is they each person can enjoy and listen to the albums they love in the privacy of their own homes without anyone else having to put up with the albums they don't like. I have to agree - RTB is for the most part one great opening song and then it all falls apart, even though Bravado is ok and the instrumental is ok - most of the rest is really pretty bad. The title track would have been a great song if not destroyed by the rap.

"Dreamline" is absolutely awesome but then.... As I said a couple weeks ago, Bones is like hitting a solo homer to start the game... and then losing 9-1 in the end. cygnus_thegodofbalance
Well, duh. I know what the premise of a bad album is. However, I was originally stating how people continually disrespecting Roll the Bones is unfathomable to me. I like 9 out of the 10 songs on there. I don't see how you can't, but of course, that is just my opinion. BTW, that one song is You Bet Your Life. Horrible.

DetachedandSubdivided
I can't really say "best to worst", as I think even Rush's "worst" album is still pretty darn amazing. But, here's my list of "Most Favorite" to "Least Favorite", just for fun: 1. Signals 2. Presto 3. Permanent Waves 4. Moving Pictures 5. Hemispheres 6. Roll The Bones 7. Counterparts 8. 2112 9. Grace Under Pressure 10. Vapor Trail 11. Power Windows 12. A Farewell to Kings 13. Test For Echo 14. Snakes & Arrows 15. Fly By Night 16. Hold Your Fire 17. Rush 18. Caress of Steel 19. Feedback 5-16 moves around quite a bit and changes based on my mood. But 1-4 and 17-19 are pretty much set in stone.

Mr. Not
Roll the Bones Dreamline good 4/5 Bravado I love it, the melody, lyrics, and all. 5/5 Roll the Bones GOOD, but the rap sucks, we all know it does. 5/5 Face Up Good solo, but other than that, this song isn't that good 3/5 Where's my Thing? NO, I can't stand this song... The only good part is 1:45 - 2:00 and the 2nd time that bit played. but other than that bit, the songs sucks, you know how some people discredit certain songs by saying they're "elevator music"? Well this piece of shit song is f***ing theme park music, screw that! 1.5/5 The Big Wheel fine.. 3.5/5 Hersey lame 2/5 Ghost of a Chance Fine song.. Great guitar melody Alex 4/5 Neurotica lame but oh well 3/5 You Bet Your Life Kind of cool 3.5/5 Total: 34.5/50 69% Cool, the D i gave this song earlier in this thread was accurate (but it should be a D+ ...Oh well
