Earthshine
Yet, another poll! Okay this time, 8 years apart. Neil on Tamas on one, Ludwigs on the other. Lots of keyboards on one hardly any on the other. Which one do you like more and why?
mankad89
Counterparts, no question. It rocks out.

Xanadu93
Oh man, my second-favorite (sometimes favorite) against #3. Gotta go with Power Windows - though I feel bad voting against CP.
blackhawkrush
Power Windows definately is a more easy listening album then Counterparts where the alternative flavor was born. For me, there is no bad rush album. I can adapt to whatever the boys cook up.
troutman
I can't do this. I love both albums!!
Xanadude69
Counterparts. They ditched the keys and ALMOST started rocking again. not a great album but miles better than the cheezy/stale PW
skalamander2112
i like both of em but i gota go with power windows
Territorial_Game
Power Windows. Love CP, but this didn't take too long.
New World Kid
Sometimes I think Counterparts is my favorite album. So it easily got my vote without hesitation.
Merely Space
No brainer. Power Windows by a mile.

Sonatine
PW - great sounds that still sparkle even today. CP - good but uneven
Earthshine
This was closer. Both are great, but Power Windows has much more to it I think. Power Windows seemed to be a comeback from the depressing Grace Under Pressure and Counterparts was a comeback from the somewhat morbid Roll The Bones. Power Windows just grabbed me the first time I heard it.
MMCXII
QUOTE (mankad89 @ Nov 12 2009, 07:52 PM) Counterparts, no question. It rocks out.

H. P. L.
QUOTE (Fridge @ Nov 13 2009, 11:39 AM) Power Windows by a gazillion miles.... I f***ing hate CP Me too.
ILSnwdog
Power Windows. Both are strong efforts, but Power Windows just has a higher ceiling. Big Money, Manhattan Project, Marathon, and Mystic rhythms put PW on top.
VarianStar
Counterparts, this was an easy one for me. I love PoW, in fact it's in my top 5. Not many albums can beat CP though in my opinion. It's simply great from start to finish and it has some of Alex's best guitar work on it.
circumstantial tree
Definitely Power Windows is my choice. There's more drama in the music. Counterparts never impressed me too much. I've grown to like that album more over the years, but I doubt it will ever get much higher in my rankings of Rush albums.
Del_Duio
Counterparts but this was a close one. CP's the 2nd Rush album I owned (#1 was ASOH) and the first I really got into. It's still one of my favorite Rush albums.
Del_Duio
I should add that Marathon is better than any one song on CP though. As a whole CP still wins out for me.
