Oh man, my second-favorite (sometimes favorite) against #3. Gotta go with Power Windows - though I feel bad voting against CP.

This was closer. Both are great, but Power Windows has much more to it I think. Power Windows seemed to be a comeback from the depressing Grace Under Pressure and Counterparts was a comeback from the somewhat morbid Roll The Bones.

Power Windows just grabbed me the first time I heard it. 2.gif

Counterparts, no question. It rocks out.

Power Windows. Both are strong efforts, but Power Windows just has a higher ceiling. Big Money, Manhattan Project, Marathon, and Mystic rhythms put PW on top.

Counterparts, this was an easy one for me. I love PoW, in fact it's in my top 5. Not many albums can beat CP though in my opinion. It's simply great from start to finish and it has some of Alex's best guitar work on it.

Definitely Power Windows is my choice. There's more drama in the music.

Counterparts never impressed me too much. I've grown to like that album more over the years, but I doubt it will ever get much higher in my rankings of Rush albums.

Counterparts but this was a close one.

CP's the 2nd Rush album I owned (#1 was ASOH) and the first I really got into. It's still one of my favorite Rush albums.

I should add that Marathon is better than any one song on CP though. As a whole CP still wins out for me.
