Currently I'm going through a Frosted Flakes phase.

Especially with some fresh sliced common001.gif s on them.

Without which makes FF a little sweet for me.

Honey nut cherrios are good.

I ate Basic Four for a while.

In my 20s I was a big Frosted Mini wheat fan.

I usually go with something with almond clusters in them.

And I don't get Cheerios. Obviously lots of people do, because they sell like mad. Either that or people are so into the health thing that they just choke them down. To me, they have NO flavor, zip, nada, zilch.

Cheerios are good but here's the catch to making them yummy: You MUST eat them with whole milk and sugar. The whole milk adds more flavor and the sugar sweetens them up, which they need. The Honey Nut version is pretty good with just milk.

I JUST polished off a box! I will pound an entire box of that stuff in one sitting. About a month back I was craving sugary cereal and *had* to have a box. They are soooo good.

Growing up we were only allowed to open one box of cereal at a time...so of course, now, I have about 6 boxes open at once, and its just me and my son! LOL

CURRENT PANTRY OFFERINGS

LIFE--yummy with dried cranberries or fresh blackberries

HONEY BUNCHES OF OATS STRAWBERRY--i really like cereals with freeze dried strawberries.

CAPN CRUNCH PEANUT BUTTER-nuff said

RICE CHEX--got them for a recipe of chex mix...i should probably make more

FRUITY PEBBLES--not one of my faves, but the boy likes them

APPLE JACKS--see above

HONEY NUT CHEERIOS--a good ol standby

I also like KASHI HEART TO HEART a lot, but I only buy that on sale and SPECIAL K STRAWBERRY also finds its way into my cabinets often.

And I agree, its damn near perfect for any meal. smile.gif

I also like Trix. biggrin.gif

Do not eat Fiber One unless you plan to camp out on the commode with a pile of reading material. According to my husband, it also makes you gassy.

Wheaties are pretty tasty as well. (I generally eat cereal straight from the box, BTW, unless I'm reverting and munching on a kiddie cereal).

Avoid the Kashi Go-Lean stuff with the puffed cereal and the little twigs in it. The twigs will carve up the inside of your mouth, and the stuff has no taste to it at all.

I typically eat Kellogg's Corn Flakes or Special K with or without strawberries.

As far as "junk food" cereal, I love Honeycomb, Cocoa or Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops or Apple Jacks....and any peanut butter flavored cereal.

I have really tried hard to like hot cereal, such as oatmeal or cream of wheat. It seems like it would be so tasty on a cold morning. But I just can't get past the wallpaper paste consistency.

I love me some cereal too!

Faves:

Cheerios

Corn Flakes

Special K

Special K smart start

Frosted Flakes

Cocoa Pebbles (which I never eat, but I could eat the whole box in a sitting!)

Also a ChexMix fan.

I eat mostly "boring" cereals but they make a great start to the day. yes.gif
