To celebreate the 30th anniversary of our album 'BRITISH STEEL' we are very pleased to announced we will be performing the whole album in its entirety during our US 2009 Summer Tour plus some other Priest classics!!!

Didn't British Steel come out in 1980?

I wish the band would pay homage to the block of albums between Sad Wings and Killing Machine. When is that tour coming?

about 30 years ago. wink.gif

Priest doing British Steel would be cracking.......

Bewarethough, Whitesnake are most definitely not the stonking blues-rock outfit they were with Marsden/Moody. I fear there will be lashings of the girly nonsense they adopted later on.

Hmm...I'll agree that they probably aren't what they used to be, but I honestly found their latest album 'Good To Be Bad' to be quite exceptional.

It might be the closest they've gotten to sounding like they did back in 1987 on the self-titled disc. Just a rockin' album! 1022.gif

I have the Judas Priest "Rising in the East" concert DVD.

The two guitar attack still sounds pretty good but Halford's voice is shot. Glen Tipton plays the absolute worst guitar solo I've ever heard. It is pure crap but the japanese audience loved it.

I'd save my money.

I disagree. For a man in his mid-50's, his voice stands up incredibly well. Overall, a very good DVD.

I had seen only the portion of this post that states that Halford's voice is shot. And, I was looking for the full-length original post to ask the OP what he or she was basing that assessment on. Because, I had heard/seen the 2005 Rising in the East DVD and thought that Rob sounded amazing here. But, that's obviously what this poster is basing his conclusion on. Ridiculous and untrue, I say.

I thought it was going to be based on some live outing that was experienced recently by the poster, because anyone can touch up a video to sound better than the real-life Metal encounter it represents. But, it's hard to fake a live gig that you're present for. And, LIVE is what I will get on Sunday, July 12th, 2009. My buddy just wrote me to tell me that he is getting online tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. to purchase us three tix to the Judas Priest/Whitesnake show at The Beach. Sweet!

That's one big 'un. What's next on the agenda?

WHO ELSE IS SEEING them on this tour?

My Brother in Arms scored us two, first row Mezz yesterday. Should be good times. Funny thing is that I had no interest in seeing the NIN/Jane's Addiction show that was being offered up...and, in the past, I would have been all over that show, ming. Seen 'em both in their prime. Tastes change. Phazes do happen. And, right now, I'm all about them bands who were right there during Metal first rise...the 1970's. Oh, man, I'm a little disappointed that they're doing British Steel in its entirety. The flappin' set list from the 2005 Angel of Retribution was killer...Almost fergot about The Snake...Just hope they go easy on the Glitter and Gloss era, and go hard on the early years.
