Jack Aubrey
In a world with no awesome trailer narration, our lives are just a little bit sadder. Don LaFonatine has thrilled movie audiences for decades, starring as the narrator of all of our favorite trailers. Mr. LaFontaine died yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles of complications from Pneumothorax, a disease that left him hospitalized in critical condition on August 22nd. Mr. LaFontaine gained well-deserved notoriety when he did a Geico commercial last year. Source: CNN. via Jo Blo. Check out Mr. LaFonatine's website: Don LaFontaine. Rest in peace, sir. Whenever I heard your voice I knew I was in for a good trailer.

tupelobarchetta
LaFontaine ranks up there with James Earl Jones and the late John Faceda (the NFL Films "Voice of God") as the greatest voices ever. Some of LaFontaine's work were posted earlier. Here are examples of Jones and Facenda. Facenda: The Autumn Wind..
