whoisrush
I remember seeing them in Newcastle on the Denim and Leather tour and after the show, a load of us hung around outside. After a while they let us back in and then Saxon came out to sign autographs and chat to everyone. Top lads.

-D-RocK-
I had two Saxon albums (tapes), The Power and the Glory and Strong Arm of the Law........both rocked hard, especially back in the day.
Margana
I saw them back in 1983, can't remember the tour (Eagle has landed?). They were touring the UK last year and I saw them in Belfast. Shame to see a great group playing to a small crowd in a small venue but they still rocked. I bought a triple CD "The Very Best of Saxon (1979 to 1988) from Amazon which was good value . treeduck
I used to like Saxon back in the day (Wheels of Steel, Dallas 1 PM, 747, Princess of the Night, And the bands Played on, Denim and Leather, Strong Arm of the law etc) but I haven't listened to them for years and years. But I've been listening to their new album on youtube, sounds pretty good, especially Battalions of Steel (they've not just got wheels of steel these days) and Demon Sweeney Todd. http://www.large-online.nl/pics/300_437775.jpg Anyone else heard it?
