  1. They were here (in Europe) on R30, I saw them in Birmingham and Manchester.
  2. QUOTE (nebbish @ May 14 2012, 10:51 AM) Feck sake...no consecutive nights glasgow is lookin good tho Maybe not a bad thing. Have you thought of London & Birmingham or Manchester & London? Plenty of time to get the T-shirts ready.
  3. QUOTE (Cosy Toes @ May 24 2011, 06:31 AM) UniqueT-Shirt my Arse. Dublin was snided with them. Now this is a unique T-Shirt http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u55/Nickslikk2112/Rush%20Dublin/Peeps/P1030147.jpg (Any old excuse to show off daddy) While the "Guinness" T shirts weren't unique in the sense that there was only 1 of them, there were only 25 made. You may have seen us at different times and places giving the impression that there were more.
  4. Maybe, like Van Halen, they'll play at The Whiskey for a small crowd!
  5. QUOTE (nebbish @ Nov 23 2010, 12:45 PM) Got Block A for Newcastle Sorted for 02 Dublin too 12th row back centre (a contact at the promoters ) Prices are ridiculous!!! Well done! Looking forward to a quiet, relaxing train journey and a cup of tea before the concert!
  6. I would agree with most of the comments - cost of flying the equipment over, small number of dates etc puts the price up. Also, if you don't think it's good value - don't go! I do think that it is a legitimate gripe that ticket sales should be restricted to 4 per person to give more people a chance of getting a ticket and reduce the scope for touting although I don't know how much influence RUSH or their management have over the way tickets are issued.
  7. QUOTE (Shirley @ Nov 19 2010, 11:58 AM) Question... Do they sell out uber fast? Unfortunately for many - very uber fast in the UK As with others, can't believe that they are coming to Ireland.
  8. I watched extracts from the Red Rocks show. Was there not a camera and operator in front of the stage. I am sure that there will be a DVD, perhaps South America again where the crowds go really wild.
  9. I have always been a fan of Deep Purple and Rainbow. Preferred the 70's line up and albums. Always thought that Ian Paice was greatly underrated as a drummer. Listen to the drumming on Burn as an example.
  10. A lot of my favourites would be similar to those mentioned but three that are missing which I have watched several times are War of the Worlds (1960s?) The Time Machine (1960) The Omega Man (1969?)
  11. QUOTE (Smudger @ Jun 10 2008, 03:57 PM) QUOTE (gleamingalloyaircar81 @ Jun 10 2008, 01:07 PM) QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jun 10 2008, 11:57 AM) QUOTE (Smudger @ Jun 10 2008, 07:09 AM) QUOTE (J0N @ Jun 10 2008, 08:58 AM) You probably would of got away scott free if you hadn't gone off on one saying that if no cop had ever pointed out you were in the wrong, which you were, then he must be wrong. Please JON it is "You probably would have got away scott free" that is such a distressing error for me to see. My ten year old is always making the same mistake, even though I beat his buttocks with a whippy cane - luckily hubby has very little to do with the child, and I can get away with it. The educational system in Britain really is ruined, in my day we were made to eat chalk dust for mistakes like that, and it never did us any harm Is this sarcasm, or are you actually saying you hit your child with a cane because of a grammatical error? What do you do if he spills paint on the carpet, hack off a limb? Blessed be? I don't think so. Wow Smudger you really are showing your ass in this thread. Sorry, only hubby sees my ass. OK I may have gone a tad over the top in what I writed, but altering number plates is a bug-bear of mine, and I just want to emphasis why you don't meddle with them OK? Rush may be the best Rock band out there, but they aren't worth breaking the law for. OK? And to Mr Gotten, gotten is an archaic form of English, and is not a necessary, what is necessary is to use "would have" and not "would of" because "would of" is completely meaningless. If I were to attempt to correct everybody's spelling and grammar, it would be a truly unforgiving and thankless task I think that it displays bad manners and attempts to show some form of superiority when drawing attention to spelling mistakes and incorrect grammar. Such errors may be down to oversights, dyslexia, poor education, lower intelligence or the fact that English is not someone's first language, none of which is a reason to criticise. If you must draw attention to errors, point them all out, including the fact that "scot free" has only one t.
  12. I saw them back in 1983, can't remember the tour (Eagle has landed?). They were touring the UK last year and I saw them in Belfast. Shame to see a great group playing to a small crowd in a small venue but they still rocked. I bought a triple CD "The Very Best of Saxon (1979 to 1988) from Amazon which was good value .
  13. I would agree - good band, I just regret not seeing them live. Hope they do a UK tour. I was just thinking that a lot of 80's bands are having a last fling - Police, Genesis, Saxon and now Magnum
  14. Where is the guy in the bear suit in the Shining?
  15. Great group - saw them live in 1978 on the Live and Dangerous tour. Brian Downey was a very underrated drummer - listen to Bad Reputation.
