apetersvt
QUOTE (Milton Bridge @ Jan 16 2008, 12:50 PM) QUOTE (apetersvt @ Jan 16 2008, 06:30 PM) QUOTE (Alsgalpal @ Jan 16 2008, 10:41 AM) Do it day in, day out with no day off. Sometimes at night too. Do it after being up all night with a vomiting child. Do it all day with a vomiting or sick child. Do it while your vomiting or sick and still not take a break... Yup. I've got my 4 year old with me in the office today. Got about 3 hours of sleep last night after she vomited everywhere. When I get home tonight, I'll have about 5 loads of laundry to do (puked on sheets (3 sets), comforters (2), pillows (3), towels (5), clothes(3 different changes)). Then I'll have to steam clean the carpet, mop the bathroom floor, feed the kids dinner, clean up dinner, help her older two sisters with their homework, give 4 year old another bath (to get the vomit out of her hair), and then put them to bed. Oh yeah, and her mother will probably be out at some bar tonight. Respect mate. When I fisrt became a parent it was the crap that I dreaded but that's easy - i hate puke!! Yep. I thought the same thing (that poop would be worse than puke), but I'm amazed at how much stuff can be soiled by vomit compared to poop. Not to mention the fact that vomit generally smells worse. Being a housewife is not easy ! that is why i would rather go to work, its easier, and i mean that. K. If you see above, MHR interpreted it the same way... Just a misunderstanding. Let's beat his ass with a virtual broom... or is that sexist? YOU WANT A VIRTUAL PIECE OF ME ! Well sure, but I wouldn't know if I got it eh? You being invisible and all.... It's too bad being a stay at home parent is not recognized for it's worth. IMO, raising your kids the right way is the most important thing you can do.
