deadwing2112
First thing that comes to mind is in Saw 1. Where the protagonist cuts off his foot out of desperation to save his family.

Just kidding, it's still Ichi. ladirushfan80
QUOTE (2112-Rob-2112 @ May 28 2007, 06:28 PM) in misery...the scence where she breaks his feet...man that is pretty nasty. In saw 3...at the beginning where...he smashes his foot with the rock and then rips it out of the cuff..yea that was nasty also. In Misery, i agree, that was NASTY, but have you read the book? MUCH more graphic. Meet Joe Black, when Brad Pitt gets hit by the car. ew. flying around like a rag doll. and in Final destination, when that chick gets slammed by the bus. ew. i tend to stay away from that kind of stuff now... it's been a very long time since i've even seen gore like that ..... vital signz
I've seen a lot of bizarro disturbing stuff, but I swear the flagellation scene in The Passion Of The Christ was over the top. I remember hearing of several cases of cardiac arrest occurring across the US while that movie was in theaters. Yeah....Irreversible fire extinguisher scene Curbstomp in American History X all three of these made me feel ill......
softfilter
In that movie "The Cell" with Jenifer Lopez, The freakish scene were the horse gets sliced up with clear glass like panels and seperated in parts. When i first watched this, thought how high and f*cked up could someone be to think of something like this?

-D-RocK-
One of the most disturbing and unforgettable movie scenes I have watched contained no violence, no blood or gore: It was in "Sophie's Choice", the scene where Sophie (played by Meryl Streep) and her two children arrive at Auschwitz concentration camp. They are met by an SS commander who tells Sophie she must choose which child she is to keep and which child is to be sent to it's death. It's an absolutely heart-wrenching, horrific moment in filmograhy that truly embodies the dark murky hell of Nazi tyranny.
ILSnwdog
In Seven when they found that junkie strapped down to the bed. Actually, there are a few different parts of Seven that were quite disturbing.
pedro2112
In Lucio Fulci's "Zombie," when the gal is trapped in the closet, and the zombie shoves his hand through the wooden slats on the closet door (causing much splintering), grabs her hair, and pulls her head towards one of the splintered shafts of wood.... we see a close up of her eye being impaled by the wood. I saw that when I was 11 or so... very disturbing.
Godeater2112
QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ May 28 2007, 08:50 PM) From City of the Living Dead...A cursed priest who have committed suicide (which opened the Gates of Hell as per plot) comes upon this young couple....He stares at the girl who then proceeds to vomit all of her internal organs.... That sounds awesome - I'll have to rent it. Overall too - lots of interesting comments here I'll have to check out some of these films people mention. The rape of Monica Belluci's character was pretty awful in that movie as well...I mean it went on forever. Yeah that entire movie was one massive disturbing 'expunge-your-lunch' fest. If the government at all tracks individuals by what movies they own I wouldn't at all be surprised if they track that one. *glances around nervously*

Godeater2112
Good old Amazon.com. I am quite a bit into bizzare films / horror gore and foreign so I'll often use Amazon.com to search for a movie I liked and then check out the list of what other people who bought that also bought. This is how I was introduced to Audition, Ichi, Izo... piles of stuff. Also their aren't exactly PILES of heavy metal DVDs out there so I'll also search for metal DVDs and then see what other people have picked up, Very useful! Anyone else use Amazon for this? Snowman
There was a film I saw when I was little, I am not sure about the name but I think it was "Squirms". About worms that came up from the ground and started eating on people. I had nightmares for several months after seeing that film.
