Bruce Springsteen's The RIver is one he despises! Is he really an out of touch Yacht rocker? The fool also hates Vinyl Confessions which I really like. AND Sabbath's Never Say Die, he's a philistine!

I used to be mildly interested in the SoT channel and found it harmlessly diverting when it first started out but now I must say this guy and his pals get right on my tits.

I haven't watched it for a couple of years now.

Yeah I find it annoying now even when one of his videos show up on my youtube recommendations. That channel only seems to have been any good during the pandemic.

I like that other guy better, the Now Spinning guy. And even that pompous guy from Classic Rock Review.

Yeah and he argues with his trolls better as well. Pete looks scared when he's berating trolls, whereas the Classic Album Review guy just laughs and relishes making a video of troll putdowns.

In 1981 went to Bellingham Washington from Richmond B.C. Canada, with a buddy of mine who happened to be a big Priest fan! We actually went down for anything new that looked good at the record stores there. So the first store we entered was playing the beginning of Solar Angels, wow who is that we asked? It's the new Judas Priest album that has just been released!! Sold!! Got home put on the album, loved it!

My Sophmore year of HS - 1982 - I was in night school making up for a failed class.  There was this older dude there - total rockhead - he had photos he took at Judas Priest and KISS shows. That kind of guy. Way cool. I forget his name.

Anyway, he had a car and would pick up a couple of us to go hang - he had POE on his deck, and it blew my mind.  I think my first song was Turning Circles.  The 'clean' sound, the riff.... and the same for the rest of the record. Worked for me in a way similar to how prog was starting to grow on me.   I was aware of Priest by then...but the heavier stuff. POE was something else entirely.

It has been one of my 'perfect albums' for all these years. It has it's own thing going on - in a good way.

Edit: I've said more than once in real life, and probably here....that POE is what Turbo might have been if they had the tech back then.  They both have a similar feel...like they came from the same place at different times. At least to me they do. Even if some of Turbo is a little more '80's dated'.
