actually i don't mind if bonus songs are on their own CD as a collection.  i just hate them tacked on to albums.

odds are they won't get heard by me that way.

Along those lines, I don't ever buy "remastered," editions of anything I already own, even if they include a new song or two.

This is how I feel these days. I am actually delighted when bands offer a deluxe edition with the bonus material on an extra disc.

Or what Epica did during The Holographic Principle era, where they released an EP, because the material was strong enough to stand in its own.

I used to be all about bonus tracks, and don't get me wrong, I love so many non-album tracks across the spectrum of all my favourite bands. But these days, I'm seeking extra material less and less.

Judas Priest-Defenders of the Faith (6/10)

i never got the love here at all.  the BProductions really slick and limp.  the song writings not that strong.  i can hear Turbo being birthed here.

I'm glad it has fans but i've tried for a good while now and it's greatness escapes me.

It's kinda just the vibes from SFV without the super high highs.
