Nova Carmina Posted June 25, 2021 Share Posted June 25, 2021 I went for KISS for the trifecta, but I want to make it clear I'm dealing with the 1974-1977 version of KISS (plus some of the mid-80s hair metal revival). I've always kind of liked RnRO -- "Calling Dr. Love" is a good one. True, it suffers by comparison with Destroyer or Love Gun, but somebody's gotta be third in that group. As for Emerson-adjacent, his work is good, but more in moments. Better musician? By light years! More enjoyable rock music experience? goose Posted June 25, 2021 Share Posted June 25, 2021 Rock and Roll Over gets the nod for album, for the artwork alone! KISS are a bit of a joke, but the gag is so well crafted and delivered, they deserve their ranking as an iconic rock band.
