And Stevie may not have a conventionally beautiful voice, but she has a personality, an at times rich and haunting tone, and her music at its best is ethereal and empowering. Stevie Nicks, Geddy Lee, Bruce Springsteen I don't mind voices with "character" because most of them sing and write good songs. Better than shallow lyrics from "insert pop princess here." Sometimes you get best of both worlds like Mercury, Prince, Cornell, Matt Bellamy and Jeff Buckley.
