My cousin, who's a flamer, was a successful clothes designer in New York City in the disco era. He even made the outfits for the band Devo that they wore on their album covers. He has aids, but is still hanging on... He's the guy I think of when I listen to "Nobody's Hero" off Counterparts. I also have a friend, Bill, who just came out of the closet recently . I've been friends with him for 30 years. He's also very successful. It seems many gays are especially talented. I should ask Bill who he would pick. I'm sure it's Neil, though.
