i don't really see the difference between store bought and burned cd's in terms of how many of them are in your collection - both of them contain exactly the same music, it's not like it's mp3's... confused13.gif

A lot of the times, it is mp3's. When people download music and burn it, it is usually in mp3 form, it takes way too long to transfer .wav formats which can be 10x as large in file size as mp3's.

i've done a lot of cdr trading with people, but never for mp3's, always for cdrs that were burned from cd's. i always make that clear when trading, and it's rarely even an issue...

Oh when sending via mail, its never an issue you always use lossless forms of music. What I mean is people who dl music from itunes or rip cds and send them to eachother via internet, not mail. Thats when mp3s are traded. Especially in todays iPod age where mp3s are used to fit more music on the players.

I HAD 600 cds at one point....sold them all to move to another city and start a new life....ask Modest Man, he'll tell ya about my collection..HUGE regret...

But alas I am starting over and have about 50 now....I burn alot of stuff and d/l stuff but for the most part if I really like an album by a band and there is not too much filler stuff I'll buy that album...
